Hi all, recently my residence faces internet downtime from Unifi. The downtime causes adults within the residence not able to work since we relies heavily on internet. We try to use mobile data inside the house but the data reception is really bad (Even though there is 4G, the connection is not stable). So I'm thinking if there is anyway to increase the mobile signal within the house? I saw there are LTE Booster / Signal booster selling on Lazada/Shopee, wondering if they are reliable or safe to used? The signal outside the house is quite good, good internet speed and 4G LTE signal. But once stepped into the house, then the signal will dropped quite badly.

We're currently using Maxis. Previously we tried Digi but the reception was also weak. Since Digi and Celcom merged so I think we don't have much options. Most guests using their mobile within our house also complaint about internet speed. So I think it's related to house location.

Best its to get fiber because most latest phone support wifi calling so as long as connected to wifi you can use everything like normal. Alternatively my work place no fibre so I bought huawe b618 I manage to get 1 to 2 bars its the speed is decent. So it also depends on your device if depend only on phone its usually very bad

Yea...my brother did told me signal boosters are illegal in MY...so still thinking twice about this approach... I just set my mobile connection to use LTE/3G/2G instead of 5G/LTE/3G/2G, I think this should fix my connection to 4G/4G+. Tried the code method doesn't seems to work. It has been 72 hours since my unifi is down. Called customer service several time but keep getting "In progress by technical team" as feedback. Asked them to provide regular feedback if possible but no response from technical team at all. I just filled MCMC complaint on this.

Yes, 5G's Band 78/3500MHz is worse than 4G Bands wrt range and object penetration. My older (non-5G) 4G Samsung Galaxy device is able to lock to a lower 4G Band (= better object penetration) for home-indoor use, ie more stable signal reception. .
