Batusai: well as suggested, the best one is to get the hotworks diecast version... both FD and AE86 are available... and ya the one u posted are model kits, need lots of work de... hotworks oso need some work to replace the engine, wheels, seats etc... by then all u need is juz a screw driver, which is supplied by hotworks... one good thing is tat the hotworks AE86 is so detailed tat the cup tat carries the water in the tofu car is oso available!

I have a 1:18 Hotwheels Red Ferrari Enzo. I think it is 3-years old already. I bought it at Parkson Sungai Wang on the launch day (I read about it in NST's Cars, Bikes and Trucks pullout) and I told myself I must get it. It is my dream car until today. I bought it for RM99.90 (the original price is RM129.90 that time), so I said I got a good deal. Now, the 60th Anniversary model cost RM159.90, RM30.00 more yet there is no difference except for the "60th Anniversary" sticker on the hood and doors!

hotwheels oso a good collection le, heard it can raise value in times to come... juz only i so far don have the interest in collecting hotwheels cars yet... maybe in future oso hard to say... btw, i cant understand the series u mention... basically most of the diecast collection here involves AA (Autoart), Kyosho, Hotwheels, Hotworks, Minichamps, Bburago, Maisto etc... some from ERTL too...size ranging from 1/64, 1/43, 1/24 and mostly 1/18 scale... like mine, my collection consists of several segments - like the NSX u see is the Super GT models, all from AA... well to be honest, u have to be fully aware on ur savings coz each of these models aint cheap.. especially for AA, Kyosho, BBR, Minichamps models... AA recently has raised their 1/18 scale price to at least RM350 and above for their new models, some may cost even more...
for Kyosho, if ur in KL i think u can try visit Times Square there since there is an official Kyosho shop selling all sorts of diecast, remote controls and some other branded diecast as well... i oways visit there when im in KL... |

btw, for those who cant afford high end kyosho models tat cost a bomb, heres a second chance for u to get the BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car from Maisto... from the pic here it looks quite neat...

i not sure..yesterday i passed by a toy shop (those usually sell those pirated RC's, robots and china toys) , i saw these on display.. got one Lexus IS350 and RX8 Tuners. SO i asked..how much and got other models?
So she showed me the rest ... RM 20 each.. There are others like Civic Euro version and 207 Pug but they don't have the last one is Renault Clio |

no...i dun think that uncle owned a shop.i think he just rent a stall every sunday and put all the diecast car for sell,the price that he offered slightly cheaper.As last time i interested to get AE86 made by Jada Toy,they offer me RM169 which cheaper than Berjaya times square or Toy'r us which they selling at RM199.00
From my experience,i would pay abit more to get minichamps or AA camaro which more worth it. |

check out this comparison..
 the white FC is from Jada Toys... the rest of the two are from Hotworks... i still think tat Hotworks has the accurate 1/24 scale models while Jada Toys is slightly larger even though it is mentioned as 1/24... last time i oso manage to see this tuned versions of 1/18 350z and Acura NSX from a toy shop... as usual, their 1/18 scale are oso kinda larger compared to normal 1/18 models like Kyosho, AA, Minichamps, Maisto etc... |

cost RM169.9 here... the AE86 lights can open, but the FD u need to open out the chasis baru can install the "opened" lights.. too bad is the doors cannot open, the only openable feature is the bonnet... oso, steering cannot move but for AE86, u can move the front wheels left and right slightly only... but for the FD, totally cant...

Great News guys, Tesco selling Jada Toys Option D cars for only RM29.90 for 1/24 scaled. Wanna know why? I found out that the official distributor for Jada Toys in Malaysia is Tesco hahaha. *saw it in tesco damansara perdana btw*

take a quick visit to UNCLE JADA shop.yes...they do got alot of diecast model.and the price oso killing us.to be honest.i spotted alot of car which i interested too...but the price......
and they did have alot of f1 car....price oso not cheap......most of the cars they sell at collector price...which at least RM600++.abit disappointed with the price that they offer. |

perhaps u didn't read the detail carefully.before bidding any item,try to ask them whether they will ship the item to malaysia if you win the bidding.at the mean time,ask for the shipping cost. tat's wat i did most of the time and they'll reply u ASAP.unfortunely, i didn't won any bcos some models is out of my budget and overprices.

coz they r in the workshop prepare to race wth Enzo!! "paiseh"  i have this 10years+ Bburago F50 1/18 too.. oso can race with Enzo.. hehe at tat time was made in italy... quality so so only...can see the rims paint start peelin off?...   |

maybe hotwheels enzo is out of stock oredi? or if u go for BBR, the price will be rocket high... but oso cant guarantee got stock for tat, especially here in malaysia... besides tat, the enzos currently available now are the 60th anniversary version, with some stickers on it to uglify the enzos...

before normal aa used to be around RM260... but currently price has increased so normal can become RM300 and above... Millennium Edition is a kinda higher quality of aa... the box itself is different... packaging is oso better... usually for those high end car models like fordGT, Veyron, Lexus models, R34 Z-Tune etc... so price used to be RM300 and above but now should be at least RM400 and above...

this is the actual box package...
 the one used by tat shop is this one...  pics from idcow oso the screws everything is totally not fit to the display tray, so they have to redrill some holes in order to fit the car model... the display tray originally is for f1 models de... tat time i was desperate to look for a red f430, so i got no choice but to purchase from them... n the quality is disappointing... |

Jasonist: finally u've shown ur entire collection. Is that ur entire collection? It seems to me like u have more than that.
Anyhow, just got this a few months ago. minichamp continental gt a huge disappointments for me though, my expectation for this model was high since it cost nearly twice as much as a typical aa.  problems i have with it is - no side windows - inaccurate; no pillar that separates the side window from the rear window. - and worst of all, No base; styrofoam as base? myke: I have no idea, I'm from penang... I expect more because of the price I paid (and I remember reading a review whereby the reviewer compares both minichamp and aa porsche carrera gt and gave the minichamp the thumbs up.)
This is my first mc so I don't know about other models. Was going to get the Arnage T later but after seeing this, decide to pass on it. The only thing mc is better than aa is the under-carriage (even maisto beat aa in this category since it consist of only a flat piece of plastic). Kyosho does the best job when it comes to under-carriage. Wouldn't notice it unless u're gonna put a mirror under it ala pimping tom style. Will take more pic once I'm free. |

hey guys i wanna ask hw do u guys protect your die-cast car paint???
i notice some of my masito car....paint got popping bubble!!!!! help wat are the cuses and how to prevent? will autoart or kyosho be like that????? hmm btw, juz polishing my masto car....still got 7 more to go....hope this way can protect the car.....
if any better suggestion plz tell me ya.... anyway while i polish the car....i noticed the following advantages of maisto compared to autoart....maybe kyosho and minichamps too... maisto have: -absobers (working one!!!) -tyre with brand like michelin,goodyear.....(autoart limited to jgtc onli) -bonet/boot can hold on but AA is loose big dissapoinment -cheaper hehe,most of my is american exotics as maisto doesnt produce japanese car last time....     earlier thought of getting AA gt but skip it due to money issues This post has been edited by zefflodo: Jan 1 2008, 05:40 AM |

hihi guys... happy new year! btw, i spot nice bentley there... been away for 2 weeks so many things happen here ah... hows ur christmas holiday and new year celebration? i was in singapore and KL for holidays and some diecast shopping as well... i can say singapore is a diecast heaven for diecast lovers for malaysians... the models are stunning yet amazing! too bad cant get many due to limited budget capability...
btw, for those who interested in M3... i spot 2 great versions of M3 in Kyosho times square... RM310!!! price is quite reasonable for a kyosho... |

well... i leave some teasers here... they are minichamps are autoart... for the autoart i can say this is the best and most affordable model i purchase... although it might not be popular in malaysia... but RM50 for a 1/18 scale autoart???

zefflodo: those cars like jaguar, aston martin they sell high there... only those old stock they sell cheap nia... nikko sg there have this offer - when u purchase one model, u will get another model 50% discount... but hidden t&c is tat the second model should be old stock le...
Mclaren: i got myself a Jordan Toyota EJ15 of Narain... been waiting for this model till my neck long oredi for KL Nikko until i spot one there... and i juz simply cant resist the temptation! |
