Phone prices depends on supply and demand. So prices will fluctuate. Grab it when you think the price is right.

Any limitations of the CN version? Everything works as usual and expected? I don't mind to use Color OS as its very similar to Oxygen OS now.

If you can live with color os then no issues.

most glaring is no android auto. most oneplus apps is in chinese and cater to the china ecosystem.

Most likely Bank apps notifications cannot receive, that's what happened to my Color OS 15 Oppo Find X6 Pro China ROM Fon

OP13 already has android auto this year.

This is perfectly fine as I don't use AOD anyway. Given the difference in price, it is too much to ignore.

No issue at all here as Oxygen OS is already very similar to Color OS.

This is a letdown. Android Auto is useful when I have to use Google Maps when driving. I rarely use OnePlus app anyway.

Seem like CN version will have problem with Google related services including Android auto. Notification and missing band support.

Normally global version support more network band and less prone for issue if go overseas or even use it in Malaysia. Which band that's missing that 1 I think you have to dig for info yourself.

Last time they gift free charger plus buds so price difference is not that high. Now they stop giving it and selling at the same price so it's a bit difficult to shallow price difference between cn and global set.

Global set is for peace of mind, hassle free and come with official after sales service. Worth to pay a premium to get it or not is up to u. For me I rather pay more to get something that is working well instead of pay cheaper and risking of regretting later.

Let's say price different between cn and global set is 1k, if you use the device for 2 years then per month different is around rm42. The difference will be lower if the device can survive longer and you willing to continue using it. If you get cn set and regretting halfway then the damage will be higher.

I'm already using it couple months ago with my OP13 color os. Not side loading but it's official android auto from color os.

good to know they managed to get it in with updates. kinda annoying without it.

Now China ROM Fon Color OS 15 comes with Android auto & the AOD can show Whatsapp notifications icon dy.

Well I would put it as "As long as you are in the know how to tinker with your phone settings and workaround, then its ok to get the CN set". If you are the type that only wants everything to work out of the box, then dont bother go straight for official My Set.
