Color OS is Color OS. Oxygen OS is Oxygen OS. Color OS is built for the Chinese Market whereas Oxygen OS is for the rest of the world.

Just don't get the Chinese set for now. HK sets are global sets as well.

I think now 1+ is LPPL with colourOS even name different. The function in colourOS is same Oxygen if not wrong.

what made you choose Oneplus 13 over other competitor likes Vivo x200?

Indeed. People used to say China rom flooded with ads but till date I don't see any of it appearing in my color os. In fact color os AI is much more intelligent when comparing to oxygen AI. But well, this is not the main point anyway haha.. To be both are the same. One with local warranty and another one is by seller.

I didn't really research much on x200 pro back then because I fell for OP13 at 1st sight. The blue leather is just my liking and spec wise are more or less the same. OP13 has better screen spec comparing to vivo hence my decision was quick. In fact seller was trying to convince me to take x200 pro but I told him I'm not a camera person. Hence the decision.

Mi HyperOS not so nice i don't like. Prefer ColourOS or 1UI7.

Oppo has merged ColorOS with OxygenOS, resulting in a unified codebase with only minor differences in the theme and skin design.

Some like it because it means faster updates, more features, and a smoother UI experience.

Use before iqoo 12 with funtouchOS really cannot.

OnePlus 13 is a great phone, even better than Samsung S25U I might say. However with Trump currently going crazy with China, you never know if Trump decided to treat OnePlus like Huawei and block access to Google. I know many people will side load apps but still, it's a bit troublesome and not to mention no more security update for Android.

Personally, safer bet is to go with Apple or Samsung for those ultra performance phone.

Anyway, enjoy your OnePlus 13 if you already have it.

Most likely that won't be the case. Even if sanction happen to OnePlus, it won't be affecting old device, the 1 that will be affected will be upcoming device after sanction.

Using Google and it services won't be an issue for those device pre sanction. What might happen is whether manufacturer will be keen to provide timely update to old device.

Yup if go for Samsung flagship & apple then surely won't face any problem. Reality is those willing to fork out the money to buy Samsung flagship or apple won't even consider flagship of OnePlus, honor and others china flagship. Exception will be those from vivo because of it excellent camera performance.

Just look at the number of pages of thread for flagship device. The popularity of the device speak for itself.

the difference are in the details. those who won't change from Samsung nowadays are mostly due to features in One UI, just like how those buying Pixel are just after the software and camera processing
