Guys can recommend a reputable shop that sells 12TB HDD for NAS usage... at least 2yrs warranty .. budget below RM900 if possible .. likely refurb unit..

Sysnapse is legit

do avoid most if not all of the ones on lazada/shopee that are cheap, due to them being old drives with smart data wiped to trick you into thinking its new

then when problems show up they're gone

some info

https://www.techspot.com/news/107093-scamme...tricks-try.html

For reference, it seems like roughly 1.4 to 1.5k is the new price for drives of that capacity from Toshiba

Truth is you might just need to eat the costs or get lesser capacity

just sharing my experience.

i bought used 16TB hdds (HC550) like a year ago for 500 rm each. So far all are still functioning well.
They were used for chia mining by the seller, which to me means they were hardly abused (ontime was like 2 years with low writes).

maybe you can try looking for those rather than refurbished? Used HDDs are actually more reliable, provided they are used properly.
I gotten mine from Carousell and picked them up from the seller (so that there is no chance of postage issue)

haha... true... the chia price never really went anywhere.
plus from what I understand, for chia at least, the HDD were used to only store the plots...

SSD were the ones being destroyed by chia.

Mono Digital should be legit (confirm it is them)

They used to be more commonly seen on Shopee back in the before 2020 days, but they kinda sorta faded away

they cancelled my order.. claim out of stock...

i guess its pricing error..

anyway I ended up order from seagate flagship store 2x6TB ironwolf..

effectively I'm getting 18TB storage with redundancy

(2x6TB + 1x12TB) ; the 12tb will act as 2 virtual 6tb under SHR (I hope so)

Then, you better buy new ones with a factory warranty.
In general, SSD is more reliable, if it can work for the first couple of months, it should last long enough smile.gif

Did you deal with them before?
Last year contacting them trying to source original iPad battery from them, from their website they claims is original and it will ship from Singapore warehouse.
Because they do not keep the item in-stock, so they can't provide any "real" photo for verification. The price is higher compare to 3rd party battery.
I'm still skeptical, as far as I'm aware, Apple never sell parts to 3rd party, all the parts from authorized repair shops are tracked.

In the end I didn't buy it from them.

All I bought from them was a Dell Internal Floppy Drive

It took quite some time, probably had to come from an overseas warehouse, but it did eventually show up
