this case actually has nothing to do with racing
it's about an individual who think he is above the law and can go around asking ppl for their IC and slapping ppl
even if the victim was a Malay who was not fasting, the old man should still be charged and go to jail
even police are not allowed to hit ppl unless in self defence
example need to be set for rule of law

Judge also would take into account public sentiment and response should a heavy handed punishment is imposed which for this case is a very touchy subject I foresee that the punishment, if meted, would be nothing more than a light slap on the wrist. One to show that justice is seen to be performed, but at the same time to placate a certain section of community that they're not ditindas by the government/dap/kafirs.
