Petronas high grade oil production mostly for export. As for retail when EV took over a sizable market, less use of petrol will force more stations to close down esp the minor one like bhp, petron, Caltex and this will benefit Petronas.

Not just subsidised in traditional way. Petrol is 8-9 yuan per liter. For number plate EV can drive anytime whereas some days only last digit odd number or even number car plate can drive, so your car can only use half a week. Then in cities like Shanghai EV don't have to auction for car owning license. Then subsidised 40-50k cash discount per EV

Do until like that who also will buy EV la. No choice.
