For tesla it's not called a gearbox la, its called fixed reduction gear.

Makes sense for the EV version to be more expensive if the playing field is level for both EV and ICE, but in Malaysia ICE got handicap with Import duty and Excise duty, so the EV version possible to be cheaper or same price. Chery will not save money on doing CKD for small volume in Malaysia so you are probably right that the price will still be around or slightly more than the ICE version.
