Hi guys...

just to keep my introduction simple, need you advice what to choose

my needs
- 7 seater
- 2016 and above (loan reason)
- do a lot of long distance so need comfort car
- budget up to rm70k +-
- prefer suv over mpv
- prefer 2.4cc and below

my current choices are
- kia sorento 2.2
- peugeot 5008
- xpander (less favorable- too fancy)
- alza (less favorable- too small)
- and out of nowhere volvo xc90

so to keep the discussion alive, please advice me

Nissan serena

if Sorento & u do a lot of long distance driving, 2.4 petrol better than 2.2 diesel. diesel expensive nowadays. owaii.. and don't take Sorento XM got two recall at the moment. take UM model (2016 onwards).

yup. own a used Sorento XM 2015 2.4 petrol. 5yrs ownership since early 2020. bought at 60k odo, now 120k odo.
so far parts I had to replaced rear suspension (full set) costs me about 5k+. exhaust leak need to modify rm1k+.

important tips: whatever used car u buy, please buy extended warranty from https://www.warrantysmart.com.my/ at least for the 1st year. must service your car at their panel workshop (got many nationwide). service price just normal for me (a bit cheaper than official SC). I forgot which plan I choose, paid 1.8k for one year coverage. during service I ask them to check my engine & gearbox thoroughly. and they found that my gearbox rod faulty. I request to change whole gearbox set & they agree (claim from warrantysmart). the panel workshop that I go in JB always full with expensive used car (McLaren, lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, merc, BMW, jaguar, etc). from chatting with other car owner, they also said the same thing. buying used/recon car at least 1st year must buy extended warranty one. second year onwards didn't buy extended warranty anymore, coz they checked major parts of my car is in good condition & I'm confident nothing major will fail. haha.

Long distance drive then choose diesel. Sorento 2.2 diesel or mazda CX8 diesel

New X90 low spec can get for 99k.

New car got warranty

New X90 basic spec so cheap ? Official website quote RM123K wor

unsold 2024 model. can search in carlist see.

x90 has been giving minimum 10k discount for new model. so unsold stock for from previous year should get even more discount.
