rm120 je pon. mau travel happy happy la. don't because of the 120 bucks muka masam. go travel also not happy. gitu?

Actually is not about the $$$. What pissed me off is Traveloka keep on promoting their ‘harga bagus deal’ campaign. They will match the price if you find price cheaper outside their platform. Come on, if your own platform got price difference also cannot honour it,, what’s the point of this campaign? wew

I read somewhere by artificially fluctuating the price, it can induce people to buy because they realise the price going up, or if it goes down it can also induce people to buy

Same for out of stock

Artificially put things out of stock so the demand increase

Less hassle is to buy flight ticket direct from the airlines.

why no case? they also don't have TNC for the price fluctuations due to demand supply thingy, they are not responsible for it.

Your rent is different. Yours pricier from other but tenant still choose yours perhaps they already like your unit compare to others, You cannot compare tangible and intangible product.

It's the same. I have short term rent (ala hotel) and long term.

If I rent more expensive to a tenant then when she checks in and ask how come the rent on another date is lower ...she doesn't have a case with me at all. It's my right

Got plan to purchase flight ticket, went in on 22/02/2025 to see the estimate price and at that time, passenger yet to give confirmation. The price was RM577.16

Bought the flight ticket on 23/02/2025 around 2PM for the price of RM697.94

On 24/02/2025 evening time, check again for the same ticket with same departure date, time and policy, the price is back at RM577.16

Feeling short-change, create the new booking ID to show comparison but never made payment. The purpose is also to have black and white in case Traveloka deny it.

As per my understanding, when the date is getting nearer to departure time and seat limitation, price will hike. Fyi, departure date is 26/02/2025.

Bring it up to Traveloka about the above and they don’t want to match the price. Traveloka said the price fluctuates due to demand vs supply thingy. Ask them about the TNC but unable to provide as it is between them and the airlines.

What can I do now? Just absorb the RM120 loss?

willing buyer, willing seller....they never claim provide lowest price guarantee.

TS is not out of danger yet
there's nothing to be happy about
NEVER EVER buy flight tix from 3rd party

if later end up the flight is full, TS will be the 1st to be denied flight because it was purchased via 3rd party

i think not too long ago someone opened a thread regarding the booking app ma.

traveloka, agoda, etc. all pretty much the same when it comes to these so-called "cookie tracking" and anxiety-inducing *sold out fast* gimmicks.

go read the previous thread or any internet forums on how they operate, and you'll avoid them like a plague.

be wise, or pay the price.
*
Thats me
Trip com

Same case, check twice or thrice then price went up, Panic and bought thinking will keep going up

Then later saw eh wtf elsewhere still same price je even on official website

Then I fark them upside down everyday, till they gave me some credit.

In the end I untung bcoz actually the flight paid for by company, but I get free credit KEK

yes but at what cost?
save a few bucks but bear such a big risk?

during non-peak season, sure i guess u can try to bear that risk
but during peak season like school holiday, it's not worth saving that few bucks over the risk you're about to bear

I think the flight price is by day, if you book on Friday and Saturday normally price damm 7 high.

I felt they adjust according to web traffic load

Frequent flyer here like every 2 week

These 3rd parties are called ticket aggregators.

Some will just work on a commission basis, and discount the ticket to the buyer by sacrificing part of their commission.

Some will negotiate with airlines for lower prices when they buy tickets en block for resale, and pass some of that savings onto their customers. In this scenario they'll discount heavily as the date of the flight nears. Better to sell cheaper than to be stuck with unsold tickets. Several times I've snagged prices way lower than at the airline website... is good for casual impromptu travel.
