Got plan to purchase flight ticket, went in on 22/02/2025 to see the estimate price and at that time, passenger yet to give confirmation. The price was RM577.16

Bought the flight ticket on 23/02/2025 around 2PM for the price of RM697.94

On 24/02/2025 evening time, check again for the same ticket with same departure date, time and policy, the price is back at RM577.16

Feeling short-change, create the new booking ID to show comparison but never made payment. The purpose is also to have black and white in case Traveloka deny it.

As per my understanding, when the date is getting nearer to departure time and seat limitation, price will hike. Fyi, departure date is 26/02/2025.

Bring it up to Traveloka about the above and they don’t want to match the price. Traveloka said the price fluctuates due to demand vs supply thingy. Ask them about the TNC but unable to provide as it is between them and the airlines.

What can I do now? Just absorb the RM120 loss?

You don't have a case actually...unless they stated somewhere they will match the lowest price (usually with T&C)

I also suka-suka raise rent and lower it depending on supply & demand. Those who previously book doesn't have right to complaint about this

Repetedly check flight ticket orice for specific route will trigger price hike.

Its the airline industry algorithm to gauge profit. Experienced it few times already. I did research during work hours, few times stopped at confirmation page. Price will increase. Price goes back down if i search for same route using pc at home.

No case. If like that, I buy shares at KLSE and prices drop later, can I also get compensation?

Pricing are dynamic. Last time also encountered Air Asia lower price AFTER I made the purchase.

Yep. I concur with this. My flights to bangkok were wild going up and down as I kept looking at them for a few days. Once I found out the lowest price I stop researching and let it come down. I pull the trigger

3rd party pricing can some time be cheaper.

Friend has purchased on another 3rd party platform a plane ticket. The ticket was wrongly quoted and a lot cheaper. So my friend purchased and when mistake was discovered, that 3rd party honored the ticket.

why no case? they also don't have TNC for the price fluctuations due to demand supply thingy, they are not responsible for it.

Your rent is different. Yours pricier from other but tenant still choose yours perhaps they already like your unit compare to others, You cannot compare tangible and intangible product.

i think not too long ago someone opened a thread regarding the booking app ma.

traveloka, agoda, etc. all pretty much the same when it comes to these so-called "cookie tracking" and anxiety-inducing *sold out fast* gimmicks.

go read the previous thread or any internet forums on how they operate, and you'll avoid them like a plague.

be wise, or pay the price.
