.
There is normal anxiety/fears (eg anxious when setting off fireworks/firecrackers) and ... baseless or unexplained anxiety/fears.
....... The latter comes spiritually or unseen/invisibly from the devil or Satan, similar to immoral sexual lust, greed, selfishness, jealousy/envy, hate/racism, anger, doubts, etc that can lead to immoral acts or sins like adultery, rape, murder, bullying, stealing, cheating, etc.

hi! i have been delaying on getting my drivers license for a good few years because when im anxious everything just falls apart, ive taken atleast 4-5 extra classes in total already but i still keep messing up. i was wondering how to shake off the nerves when driving especially during a jpj test. everytime i get in the car i feel like im just going to make a million mistakes next to my driving instructor, and it does happen then i get called out for it and they'll always just question me on why im like this. i dont feel like taking any more extra classes anymore as most of them just turns on the radio and get on a phone call with their friends or whatever, but i want to practice the course properly so is there any spots in PJ for it.

thank you

Driving today is a whole lot easier.

During my day, imagine trying to drive the Datsun 120y manual with clutch.

Have you seen the drivers on our Malaysian roads and the crazy, horrible way that they drive? Bet that 50% don’t have a license or bribed to get their license.

Practice driving around your neighborhood to build your confidence.

When you are not rich, and you have to find money to support yourself, that's where you learn to overcome your anxiety during the driving.

You can't just depends on public transportation or taxi to go everywhere.

What I do is I keep driving around, train myself become familiar with different kinds of road situation. If you have offday on weekend, try drive for 2-3 hours.

Explore different cities and town

Shah Alam is the best area for you to learn driving since shah alam has too many roundabouts.

If you want a rough adventure, go drive at Klang area, especially in Jalan Kebun area.

i think you should fully cure your anxiety first before driving on road... driving with instructor and driving alone are 2 different story. with instructor, they have additional brake at passenger side... even if u got the license, it wont lessen your anxiety, i saw many cases accidents happened due to anxiety - drove into shop, shot over the wall when reversing, even my neighbour knocked down the gate in front of her house and her own gate at the same time because panic reverse and panic forward.

life matters, driving license is optional. life doesnt take 2, problem is not driving license or driving, the main problem is your anxiety might cause your own life or other's life.

Your problem is the anxiety, not skill (driving) issue.

I really hate those who drive fast and treats public road as race track

I hate those who late and drive fast to make up time

I hate those who drive and said enjoy driving while they drive at above speedlimit.

I dont have anxiety but my blood boil see our rush rush rush culture.

why we cannot drive slow and steady like, japan, aussie or uk.

Not only speeding but these buggers don’t even know the road rules…just watch the numerous videos on Malaysian roads of drivers overtaking recklessly, running through red lights, not knowing how to use roundabouts, oh and trying to run pedestrians over. With such shitty driving, OP should feel right at home lol.

More experience will stop your nervousness
True that some people maybe more nervous than others
But all nervous can be treated with experience.
No nervousness just stay the same.
Get someone to bring you to a parking spot
Go there when its not many cars like early morning weekend
Practice there

About your nervousness, you can reduce it by making tolerance with your body. Exercise more. Make your heart pumping.
That itself will help your body to develop resistance against feeling like shock, anxiety and nervousness. Within 1-2 weeks of like 30 minutes jogging everyday, you'll notice the difference in your nervousness as in no more making your heart rate too fast or blood pressuree shooting high

just get a family member to sit next to you while you learn how to drive in a big empty parking lot or a small quiet taman.

eventually you will get used to driving.

You don't need to everytime go to the paid driving instructor for help. You will waste your money.

But if you still feel anxious after several rounds of driving, that means maybe you need to go to the hospital for help from a psychiatrist. This might be serious and you may need to take medication for anxiety disorder.

So first of all, you try to drive with a family member first to see whether your anxiety is just temporary or something serious which requires medical attention.

I felt the same way, I think you just needed to accept that the anxiety is gonna be there and just do it. After you do it enough times, you will feel a lot more relaxed. It's nothing that scary, if you failed, then just retake it again, I failed twice btw. 😂

Like other said this all is about mindset. After you seen as much accident as I seen and the hassles after an accident you learn to appreciate life. I rather drive slow and safe then involve in an accident

I have a few anxiety as well

Like pumping petrol I will have anxiety that will I accidentally pump diesel to a petrol car or vice versa

About driving I used to have anxiety keep worrying what if someone comes out , someone bang me too but I made up my mind focus to objective destination what will happen will happen so after years of driving you build up a 6 sense skill so anxiety become 6 sense so I can sense experience to avoid
