hi! i have been delaying on getting my drivers license for a good few years because when im anxious everything just falls apart, ive taken atleast 4-5 extra classes in total already but i still keep messing up. i was wondering how to shake off the nerves when driving especially during a jpj test. everytime i get in the car i feel like im just going to make a million mistakes next to my driving instructor, and it does happen then i get called out for it and they'll always just question me on why im like this. i dont feel like taking any more extra classes anymore as most of them just turns on the radio and get on a phone call with their friends or whatever, but i want to practice the course properly so is there any spots in PJ for it.
thank you

Look up cognitive behaviour therapy. I suggest getting professional help like psychiatric, they will know how to help u overcome this.

get to know your car.

1. Get professional help for your anxiety first.
2. Practice on your own in empty car park lot. Take time to familiarize with the car.

Do you have the same anxiety problem with any other tasks? If not you just need to familiarize yourself w. driving in a low-risk situation. Have somebody drive you to a super empty lot then switch places and drive around for awhile.
Don't depend on instructors, some of them are absolute dicks and have no business teaching people. Imagine what people hate about taxi / lorry drivers, that's essentially them in an educator role. The one I had rolled down his windows & heckled other students at the driving school while I complete my course. Pissed me off until I purposely reversed into a training pole so he gets laughed at by his other asshole friends.

Find a doctor/psychiatrist and get yourself diagnosed. Get a letter from them maybe you can then explain it to the driving school.
Probably best to identify what causing you to be panic in a car.
Until then better not to drive and cause harm to yourself or others.

Tak salah anxious pandu kereta. Lebih baik dari ramai orang pandu macam bangang.

TS, I think you are not suitable to drive. For now, please take public transport until you sort out the anxiety issues, otherwise you could be a danger to other road users.

first thing first, why are you nervous? the first issue to resolve is to deep dive and find out what are the triggers
are you thinking of making mistake before you even starting to drive? the more you think, the likely it will happen
I am also staying in PJ, please PM if you want to practise it with me

The only way to overcome is practice so the more you practice the better you get. If you don't like them to turn on radio or talk to friends tell that to instructor . You paid money you have the right to say it

1) find the root cause & solve the anxiety 2) practise at the empty field & gain confidence; takes time though
PS: pls do not attempt to drive otr if above 2 not done.

Like the other users posted above, have you done enough practice? Usually if you don't practice enough and just jump into tests, you will definitely feel nervous.
I believe PJ doesn't really have good spots as most of the roads are high traffics, unless you want to try during wee hours - 7am-9am on weekends. Or alternatively just practice drive around your neighborhood and only go main road once you are really familiar with the car you operate.
