i dont think there is a fridge designed to open in that way or maybe not that im aware of.
*
Indeed, I can't find any. Tq for the reply

2 option.

1) French door fridge with drawer type. No need to think left/right
2) There is a fridge which can open from left or right.
*
Yep, I was searching based on french door design as well, but to no avail. Tq for the reply.

QUOTE(hoonanoo @ Feb 4 2025, 12:16 PM)
those fridge with left and right doors open in the middle can help?
*
Not really, because the allocated space is just nice for a single door fridge.
I can opt for left-to-right but then there is bar table that is so close to the fridge door opening that it may be a bit uncomfortable to go in and out just to open and close the door.

spare parts waranty is free (for compressor only) and u still need to pay labour and transport fees. a couple of hundreds kena charged in the end

Where you buy your fridge from ? In house warranty team come and replace . within warranty period.

Generally when Hitachi equipment is faulty this is due to manufacturing default or you use it wrong. For fridge hard for you to do it unless you damage it during delivery

If you dont mind higher electricity bill, then repairing an old non inverter fridge make sense. However repairing an inverter fridge would cost couple hundreds presumably if there's a problem with the board. A new inverter fridge probably cost between 1500-2500. I would just use my hisense 4 doors for a couple of years and dump it for a new one when it needs repairs.

Nowadays every refrigerator can last > 10 yrs. All compressors warranty 10 or 12 yrs.

LG smaller model with inverter and door cooling plus. 4 years and going strong. Bought under rm1.5k. Also very energy efficient, I believe around half a kwh per day only.

Sorry to hijack, can anyone recommend a simple fridge that opens from right to left? Most of those in the market opens from left to right. This is due to my cabinet design in which the fridge placement is just next to the wall.

Bro, can swap door hinges to change open directions

U buy those fancy looking CCP brand like Hisense etc, sure mampus. Lolx.

I think for CPP brand Midea ranking is the highest ...but can pakai3-4 can la..

These CPP fridge cheaper by 15-20% but use it 3-4 years then need to dump..

The term you looking for is "Reversible Door". Yes only certain brand do support this feature such as Beko, Samsung and some brand Faber or Khind. I not sure if Hisense and Haier do have this feature. You need to do research.

Last time I bought hitachi for RM1600 in 2011, passed to my brother in 2020, my brother sold the fridge for RM300 in 2023.

12 years is good enough i think.
