not imported, it's a local car but no longer in production.

Scrut can be used on local car as well as my uncle showed me one of his report on one of his cars

Is ok. Buying used car is like this.
I've had bought 3 used cars and all work out fine for me. Just buy, pump petrol and drive. No repairs even needed.

the car is manufactured at 2011.
Not sure with SCRUT, but at the end of the report there's a disclaimer mentioning "Please note that our accident and claim data is available starting from the year 2003 onwards."

First of all, just cuz no info in whatever DB does not mean its problematic.

U just need decide if yr ok to burn 2.5k or risk buying it.

I only buy used cars all over 10yrs, up to 40yr old car. Not once check in scrut or whatever.

Physical checking is yr own due diligence.

I had done the physical check and used checklist template online on how to buy a used car. All seems good but only 1 thing. Initially i had smell a humid, wet smell, like not fresh air smell when i go inside the car. I thought maybe this guy want to let go of his car so he didnt use the car so frequent. After story to my uncle, he say high risk the smell come from banjir car.

Getting the SCRUT report done just heighten my suspicion

I would just proceed and ignore the scrut report.
Buy warranty insurance if u worried. iinm its around 1K/year. ask the dealer about used car warranty insurance.

Btw have u contacted scrut why the report is N/A ?

Kinda scam if they sell report but N/A because no data or unknown?

2.5k lesson not too bad la ..... next time no matter what if you have any relative that could give professional opinion should seek them first. Unless relation is rly bad no uncle would just cup your phone for some question.

Lets not talk about "uncles" as we dont know their knowledge, or credentials, experience.

Then before the next payment, go and check the lowest parts of the interior for damness, rust, etc.

Tip: take off the floor mats, remove the plastic sill to allow access to lift up part of the main carpet just a little bit. If the baremetal is clean and devoid of ANY dust, then you contemplate if the previous owner(s) are so rajin to take out big carpet & perform baremetal cleaning laugh.gif or its result of alot of water washing it clean.

Thus once again, the question if u ok to burn the 2.5k or commit to any issues the car may have in your future ownership.

If the car pass puspakom test and u like it then just proceed.

Sorry to say ur uncles or whatever potato relatives are not any better. All used car dealers tampered something. It’s whether it’s caught or not.

All u need to do is run a service check on the entire car. What brand is it? Can go to Service centre for last service information and do the service there. They will flag any inappropriate items or faults.

Since its your dream car, maybe try for a second inspection to really check the condition.

scrut just one tool to help you decide before buying, not perfect.
proper inspection would be better.

I brought the car to my uncle for inspection first, then made the deal with the seller. Then next day my other uncles told me to do SCRUT.

there's a rust on the pipes under the car, throughout the pipe around between the front wheels connecting to the back wheels, i thought it's just dirt or mud, or its normal as it's an old car.

EDIT: OH, another weird thing is the boot carpet is gone and the wood covering the boot is a bit warped.
