I think people overestimate the impact of boycott on SB Malaysia. Rather than just boycott I think it's cos lots of competitors rn. I think in the past year I've heard of more new coffee shops in MY than all the pre COVID years. HWc, he n she, zus, Gigi, kenangan, bask bear, richiamo. Then got the other old ones like coffee bean, san Francisco coffee. Even my condo got coffee place but it's local brand I believe, just that one branch. Looks comfy like Starbucks also, price similar but at least local so people like it also

Seriously u open a thread in Serious K for this? and not even try to engage with the comments. Collecting post count?

Anyway people stop going to starbuck as the quality went down the drain. The coffee bean seems like over roast, too dark, too acidic, and taste like it had been on roast forever. The boycott movement is just the final nail in the coffin. Not to mention the price is an issue too.

Nowadays we have plenty of choices. Coffee bean, dome. We even have local brands like Zus, Kenangan, and those are not bad too.
