Hi every sifu. I'm just a newbie in photography, photo taken by using Canon S2 IS. This can be considered as the 1st digital camera I owned (before this I don't have a digital camera, always use other ppl one, and i didn't have chance to play around as well). All of them i took inside my house. Photoshop is used to add the frame and the wording.

Hi, i think your shots are good for a newbie albeit the usual composition issues. Seems your style is more towards the abstract side, so do shoot more while you train your eye for discerning interesting objects & patterns to make winning pictures!

3 great shots. you put many DSLR newbies to shame you know.
only thing about your shot I'd say is try not to use transparent frames. and try to have nicer water mark. besides those stuff - great shots! btw for shot #2, i could say try to align the bars to be as straight as it could be while for #3, you might want to consider clearing the background or set it up nicely for the shot. |

Seriously pretty impressive stuffs here. I just feel pic no 3 will be much better if a DSLR is used. Looks not so sharp to me on pic no 3.

QUOTE(kelvinyam @ Nov 8 2007, 08:36 AM) Luckily I'm still using S3 and not SLR. So no shame on me. LOL was referring to some happy shots done by new SLR owners. |

Hehe, just got the cam for 3 days, will try to go out and shoot As for your photo, generally ok, a little sharpen will help on your reduced size photo. I think you got to go out and shoot QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Nov 8 2007, 10:19 AM) Seriously pretty impressive stuffs here. I just feel pic no 3 will be much better if a DSLR is used. I was trying to use the macro function, guess that the output is not sharp enough ( on the particular area that i wanna focus ).. and the messy background QUOTE(goldfries @ Nov 8 2007, 04:14 PM) Hehe, alright |

Lol, no money to get a DSLR le, but to be frank, this cam ignites my interest towards photography, and now i learn to appreciate those pictures.. before that i used to think "it's just a picture, what is so special about it?" Now i learn |
