Last time my manager dare ask me to belanja him.. after i pass probation. Feel very stupid because my salary very low below rm 2k. And he dare asking me belanja him.. gila

When I passed my probation, I treated my colleagues, as it’s part of the company culture. Everyone does it, so I figured it was fine. It’s just around 100-200 ringgit—a small price to pay than not fitting in the company..

It's not that deep. Just belanja them.

If just pass probation, no. But after promotion especially those senior roles one, then yes. But it's mostly own initiative, without anyone forcing one. Mostly, it's just gathering lunch with company fund instead, so everyone get to enjoy the day. I think, it's best to find a better company if that company practices this type of culture.
