I personally think that LOD is just a waste of money (free money to the lawyer) @ RM300+ a piece and ended up straight into the dustbin.

Many years ago an organization owe about RM10k, I issued LOD didn't manage to recover the amount, I did a search and the lawyer told me that entity actually had bankrupt. I'm not sure how an entity that's bankrupt still got staff working in the office and student go in/out on daily basis. Maybe they got few entity, they used the company that's bankrupt to contact this kind of cheat, knowing not many will go to the extend to do company profile check for small amount trade and use other company to conduct their daily business.

In the end, I walk in to their office told the purchaser I was there to repossess goods that I supplied due to no payment and on the same day I receive back the full payment they owe.
