 How fan last longer when keeping it always on?, as well as LED lighting

Almost all new ceiling fans these days are DC type.

The quality of electronic components in DC type fans, or possibly lack of or poor over-voltage protection are the culprit.

In the old days, ceiling fans are mainly AC type.

To add on:

These days, "economically-priced" ceiling fans' blades are made of fiber/plastic.

In the old days, all ceiling fans' blades are made of metal.
