I think we need to stick with this formation.

Enzo, Lavia and Caicedo need to start.

If Maresca want to play inverted rb, the best way possible is to put caicedo as rb and invert when we in possession of the ball.

Madueke can go to team "B" and pay in the UECL.

Cucurella as usual performed very well as left back. I think we all can forget about ben chilwell and hope he can leave during this january transfer window to revive his career.

City performance is a big surprise for all.
If not, it may be 2 horse race jer.

Liverpool manager really surprise me on 1st season take over from Klopp hmm.gif

we just need to find our rhythm and fine turn our overall teamwork especially defense work

Defense need to sort out, with wesley maybe hamstring out for weeks, i dont really see our bench have good cb can fill in.

December pack fixture, next match vs Southampton probably will be rotation of using team B. Time to test if team B capable vs bottom table team in the league.

Always a fan of Enzo, glad to see him on the scoresheet again. Still hoping he will be our next and more mobile Fabregas.

I would have dropped Noni a long time ago if it wasn't for Palmer feeding him that hattrick. Neto should take his place as a 1st team starter and Sancho on the other wing.

Definitely to go for a reputable CB and a GK in Jan.

If want to get a striker, Gyokeres is my pick for now.
Previously I was fond of Osimhen but since the deal fell through and now that I think of players that will go for AFCON, Gyokeres is a "smarter" pick.

We have enough "young talents" and need some reputable and solid players mentor the young ones and as refinement to our squad to challenge for some titles.

actually we got lavia in midfield and enzo, caicedo still go to the midfield from rb, its a back 3 with caicedo going to midfield, gusto has been poor in the inverted role

in the big games, we should see more of this caicedo invert to midfield from rb....this the only way we can see all 3 midfielders play

this weekend nearest rivals(City & Ars) all slip up and lost 2 points
we also got Cucurella slip foot and let in 2 goals first.
luckily, we managed win it and grab all 3 points in Spur stadium
can't complaining much smile.gif

i would like to add a bit about the london derby last weekend.

caicedo inverted rb and badiashile as lcb is not working due to high pressing by spurs players. they managed to press man to man and badiashile dominant leg is his left leg so he is not comfortable enough to receive the ball from sanchez and turn his body to find a better pass to his team mate. enzo quickly rectify this and bring out lavia (which is not related to his performance or injury, just tactical tweak) and bring in malo gusto as natural right back and operate as inverted rb.

sanchez will always plays like that because enzo principal is to play from the back and sanchez as +1 during recycling the ball at the back.

You are probably right. Modern football now requires goal keeper to be really comfortable with the ball. Distribution with the legs become important as saving the shot on goal with you hands.

Thats why petrovic went on loan to other club.

The intensity of the player is getting pale since last match.

Lost and drop points now is better than at the end of the season.
I don't see us as title contender anyway.

Liverpool really can smile this Christmas with the rest of the pack dropping point. Arsenal should win against Ipswich and goes no.2 in standing, let them lead the rest of the pack chasing Liverpool

Maresca is trying to prove that we are not ready for title challenge in robin hood way

January window, clear dead wood, and hopefully at least getting one central defender. Not sure if chalobah a good option to recall. Anselmino is reported joining the main squad, however i think he still not ready for fitness.

Are we getting a striker this month? Imma afraid if no lethal goal scorer, and during this down fall, top 4 will be very hard

Maresca magic has ended? Seems like he’s not really that great as many expect. Poch laid the foundation, Maresca continued w a little mod as both managers have quite similar style n tactics.

Sooner or later, other teams will find their weaknesses n exploit it

I guess you are right.
Didn’t watch the first half but 2nd half we were outplayed.

When we got the ball, straight pass it to the wide and opposition players straight away protecting them from going forward or slow down until all players into positions.
When all the time it big open space in the middle to exploit.
Mark palmer from getting into middle or any ball movement to the middle and we are dead meat without any real chances to get the goals.

We really lucky they didn’t get more goals and won the match.
Look like it will be go to template against us nowadays.

Be thankful ada palmer, he was carrying the team all season, otherwise i think we only midtable this season

Now u know why i said we are palmer fc, all teams already figured out botak tactics and start man marking palmer heavily (see the pass map this game, all the chances go thru palmer)

Bottom teams all using 5-4-1 is so effective against our shit tier gk + defense

Which shud not be a problem, but all other players can't finish

Then have to ofload sanchez asap. Bring one proven striker no matter what. Ask jackson to be the backup.

we are actually doing good in the league. We might get to the top four by the end of the season.

dont compare arne slot with enzo maresca. both have their own qualities. just be patient.

you guys should blame Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley for splashing the money on players that not needed by enzo maresca - joao felix.

This season gone case liao, tough fixtures ahead whereas villa & newcastle gaining steam, will overtake us soon, we'll be out of top 6 soon with this kind of form

Next season before i do any prediction, i wanna see the summer window how, who we bring in

Sell all those flops/who duwan to play for the badge, i.e. nkunku, joao felix, robert sanchez etc
Buy experienced players in st, cb, gk positions, get in gyokeres/osimhen
Bring back promising young players like andrey santos, petrovic

Also, bring back roman's old staff e.g. marina or ex-players like cech, drogba, terry in some capacity, maybe in a consultant role

Maybe, then maybe we got chance for top 4 next season

Current management wants to "rebuild", hence they prefer young players n weed out old players who might be affected by the change.

Poch found the formula by chance. Still, he's the one who saw how it should work but he didnt complete the work, get into troubles w the mgmt, and out he goes. There's no point in fighting them at the top.

He wanted established players, the board wants new, young players. Cant fit.

I dont think egbali will change. Hope Boehly step in to enforce the necessary change. And maybe Boleh is the same as egbali. The club wont revive like arsenal

the match vs brighton last week really fucked up. not gonna lie that is the worst performance under maresca (so far) for me.

suddenly jackson got injured and even though he is kinda useless at least when he is in the team cole palmer can operate at this preferred position rather than being deployed as dlf or false 9.

this situation showed that letting felix on loan to ac milan was a stupid decision. felix can be a center forward better than cole palmer.

1) GK crisis.
2) Striker crisis.

no need to have coaching license, it is too obvious to see. even palmer look so mediacore and he missed at least 2 great chances iirc.

chelsea just tried to get a point in the game (failed), no attacking at all.. all kelam kabut.. duno what they were doing..
the most threaten from our team was Cucu.. Nkunku at left wing was just useless.. and no one was running in front, whenever Neto or Sancho got the ball in front, u can see no one at all nearby to support.. wtf.. the game was so lame.

yeah, noticed this too - no oomph from the overall team, so walaupun si sanchez yg buat hal, team wise very meh..ciplak pep is ciplak pep, can play possession but cannot convert into goals/win sweat.gif

where to start?

chalobah as rb when u have james and gusto on the bench. facing team that only won 4 games so far, need to have three at the back as rest defence.

ask madueke to dribble his way in without any support, only enzo to support.

useless rotation cost us 4 points. drew vs brentford and ipswich felt like a lost. now we are in 6th. forest dropping points, instead of took the opportunity to climb the position maresca decided to experiment like it was a pre season instead of race for top 5.

i dont know how long can i say that i still believe in his project. the results so far showed backwards progress instead of moving forwards.

Board taking too many risks, instead of hiring experienced coach, must go and hire no experience coach. PSG and barca also employ youth but they hired really good coaches, so now reaping the rewards

From this season, already see botak ran out of ideas, the team also regressed a lot. Second season won't change much honestly under his guidance

Despite what botak claimed that his kpi this season don't involve ucl qualification, I think board might have second thoughts when ffp police come knocking on their doors after all loopholes used up and no shirt sponsor

while arsenal under arteta won 3-0 vs real madrid at home in the fucking ucl last week. they even won at bernebau 1-2 while rm had 0 shot on target on the first half.

both maresca and arteta come from the school of pep.
but i hate to say it but maresca is a fraud and championship level manager.

but why we blame him instead of the players? cole palmer now completely off form at the crucial moment.

because it is the head coach to instill the blue print of how a team would approach a game. players on the pitch follows the instruction. and a good coach would be able to adapt quickly on how the things unfolded during the match.

i would say maresca to get sacked by the end of the season after we failed to qualify to the ucl.

top 5 seems unlikely even top 6..i am just not confident the remaining fixtures are hardest among all rivals competing for top 5. only thing we can hope is liverpool is already switch off after winning the league this weekend.

We didn't win the games that we should have and could have won. What is left are the tougher games, with teams sitting above us in the league table.
I am not putting much hope to qualify for UCL. Damn Maresca's words have manifested into reality. What a blardy downer manager to have.

maresca out if he fail in conference league and out of top 8 (8 also could qualify for conference league if MC, forest or Vila win the FA cup, with 1-5 UCL, 6th + Fa cup winner for Europa/7th, 8th Conferene (as newcastle winner via EFL))

Bournemouth is now 8th with 49, and Fulham is 9th with 48 vs. ours 57(+8 points ahead). Thus, it seems like Maresca is quite safe and will be here next season if play in Europe is the passing mark.

MC draw yesterday, we probably will draw tonight too. Very common in EPL, 1 team draw or lose for other team to chase, but end up others also like that..

If it were up to me to decide jackson fate, i would have fold him pack your bags and go tell your agent to find a club for you. Better if you try go go to Saudi follow jhon Duran. Earn big money and play lower level football.

Jackson for me should never played for chelsea again even in uecl final. He was decent sometimes but his temperament, his game reading IQ below average.

Low IQ and EQ. Always try to pick a fight with the opponents and referees and taking stupid fouls. If he was scoring like Diego Costa, take the fouls, we don't care.

Tbh chelsea vs United both team played a mediacore match.

Lucky cucurella saved us this time around. With only 1 game left and forest won vs west ham last night we must win at their home ground to qualify.

It might come down to goal difference ffs. Newcastle lost to arsenal so we back to square one.

we play nottingham forest on sunday. then play the final of uecl on wednesday. just three days after our last EPL game of the season. meanwhile betis got extra time to prepare for the final.

it is like the FA england didnt care about their team when they play in the europe. spain and france did their best to help the team from their league when they play in europe. maybe this is one of the reason why psg able to beat all english team in the ucl this year.

All the pundits love underdog in this case it was Forest.

Most of them including non paid so called pundit such as Mark Goldbridge and Robbie AFTV predicted Forest to beat Chelsea even Forest performance in the past two months were not that good. While us in the last 12 EPL matches, won 8, drew 2, lost 2 scoring 16 goals and only conceded 5 goals. Glad the boys prove them wrong and it is time for them to show some respect to the only London club with UCL trophies in the cabinet.

Luckily didn't waste my money for paying pay-per-view to watch the game on Sooka (Didn't want to pay for monthly fee because the season is already over).

From 1st half of the game, it felt like we were going to lose.

Now we have moolah from qualifying for UCL. Air Jordan deal and a good front of shirt sponsor coming soon?

when i saw this, i feel that we at least should challenge liverpool for the title.

the lost (their only home win) at ipswich really cost us. and then reverse fixture we only drew. so 5 points lost here. if we got 6 points from a team that just got promoted like ipswich we can get same point as arsenal (though lower goal different).

then we lost at home vs our neighbour which is fulham cost us another 3 points.

drew 2-2 vs bournemouth and 1-1 vs forest at home.

another 4 points lost from team we should beat comfortably at home. total 9 points lost. final points 69 points, plus another 9 points should be 78 points. still not enough to win it but comfortably sit at second place.
