Don't forget Ricoh, king of street photograhy.

Back in July 2011, Hoya had agreed to sell the Pentax camera business to Ricoh for roughly $124 million.

The deal was completed over this past weekend, and now the business is officially called the “Pentax Ricoh Imaging Company”.

My 6D mkII collecting dust for many years already, i misss the bulky feeling using DSLR, nowadays using phone is much much more convenient. Unless if you're doing long exposure, then yes DSLR still has its place.

The best camera is the one you have with you.

But as most people just take.pictures for.insta or FB, camera phones work just fine.

However for proper serious work, there is no replacement for a proper camera.

By 7D also collecting dust for many years. Now my daughter using it to learn photography.

Ricoh logo is just "Ricoh". Only GR series don't have logo, maybe as a street photography camera they tried to be low profile and keep the camera simple s possible.
But GR series got the Ricoh word at the back not the front.

If we compare photo quality, which is better: a DSLR or a phone camera?

Look..bottom line is if you’re just taking photos to view on your own phone & occasional sharing on socmed, just use the camera phone. You can still take good photos with great composition & exposure.

If one inch sensors just get a smartphone.. sonys, Xiaomi 14 ultra, vivo x100 pro..

If want to hold an actual camera it better be worth it.. most likely sonys a7c for full frame or the Fuji xm5 which was recently released - for it's color science. Fujis jpeg is just a notch above others.. while sonys auto focus... Ni ma de simply shot also sharp.

Nowdays really tak larat carrying extra gear my last camera was Fuji xs-10 ended up smartphones really did caught up as it's really versatile and the 1 inches smartphone camera are really taking damn good images especially in the dark. I can't say for Xiaomi but vivo just wows me.

DSLR need to do maintenance on the lens.
Bulky and heavy to carry.

Which is annoying to most people. Smartphone camera is better and convenient

This! If yr someone who is just using a kit lens forget about it.. an apsc sensor camera with kit just won't fit. Even when I bring my xs10 out back then the 23mm f2 made hell lot of difference compared to it's kit lens.
