Simple, because they are Japanese words, not Chinese words. Japan can still rely on their hiragana/katakana, but if China drops all the Japanese words, they don't have their own words to use.

There have been a big debate in Japan about removing kanji from Japanese writing system, and the conclusion is, it can't be done.

So with that, I don't even see any logic to have this discussion. Chinese the most can just invent new character for it, but the Japanese will have its writing system been impacted badly..so in this context, wanna say Japanese language in foundation is inferior to the Chinese?
