The characters 经 and 济 were adapted from Chinese. The word 经济 was created in Japan, and it was borrowed into Chinese. Lots of words are like this (e.g., 科学, 社会, 電話)
I dunno why the need to discuss this? What is better? What is not better? Without Chinese providing the 汉字 (漢字), can the Japanese create all these terms in Kanji (漢字)? So, I dunno what is there to discuss.

QUOTE(Hoka Nobasho @ Oct 26 2024, 11:43 PM) Okay, stop using Japanese words and see what happens. Then how about Japan stopped using 汉字 and see? There have been a big debate in Japan about removing kanji from Japanese writing system, and the conclusion is, it can't be done. So with that, I don't even see any logic to have this discussion. Chinese the most can just invent new character for it, but the Japanese will have its writing system been impacted badly..so in this context, wanna say Japanese language in foundation is inferior to the Chinesea? Actually again I don't even know what is the reason to debate this. This post has been edited by MasBoleh!: Oct 27 2024, 12:04 AM
