Panasonic has today announced the Lumix DMC-LX3. The camera is aimed at DSLR users who are looking for a compact camera to complement their existing SLR gear. Consequently the LX3 comes with comprehensive manual controls and a fast F2.0-F2.8 24-60mm (35mm equivalent) Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens. Images are captured on a 1/1.63-inch CCD sensor sporting 10.1 million effective pixels. The Lumix DMC-LX3 will be available in the UK from August at £399.99.

should i send my camera to panasonic service centre to examine for the screen defects (red dot)?? is it a serious problem?? i need advise, bcoz the place i stay dun have panasonic service centre, need to courier my camera to them..

You mean when it is turned on or even before it is turned on? Does the red dot stays there?

Erm, mine dont have such problem. Faulty LCD maybe?

the red dot is always there whenever it is on..only 1 red dot..i bought in Kuching, but i'm currently in Sibu.

it is the problem of LCD itself..i din see the red dots when i view the pic with my pc...i think i will send for warranty..i juz submit my warranty form today, but i bought this camera on 2nd july..XD...still can warranty gua???

hi...i'm planning to buy a camera soon....i'm interested in DMC-FS20....any users here? and i see that lumix has a few series for compact digicam namely FX, FS, LX, etc etc...So what's the difference between these series?
