From what I heard from ACE boss previously, small repair such as below can be done on site:
1) PSP Analog button replacement
2) PS2 lens change
3) NDS crack hinge repair
4) NDS dead pixel (minor)
5) Wii Error #002 issue
6) Wii and Xbox360 brick (might be able to reverse it, depends on situation)
7) PSOne lens change - will take time though

ACE previously wan to do that to my Wii too. I end up updating it myself. I gotta say, it's very, very risky. One wrong move and your console is gone.

Anyway, why don't you try Gamemonster in QB and G Electronics in Prangin? The calling info is on first page.

Gamemonster's "technician" look to have decent skill and G Electronics say they repair stuff locally.

Ask them to give you a quote and let see how.

Sony Center actually selling it at RM298. But I am not sure whether it got strings attached or not.

Hi Deswin,

From what I heard, the DS3 you got is a 3rd party DS3. I guess that in order to get a usable DS3, you might want to go back to the shop and ask for the original one. Any chance you can take some photo on the item?

One way to check is it to look at the sticker behind. See whether there are screw marks underneath it.

I am not sure whether the checking is valid for all but it did help some buyers around.

You can go back to the shop again. However, from my experience, getting refund is near impossible, but you can try nevertheless. The more possible option is that they will give you store credit. They take back the controller and ask you to choose something else.

Should the shop failed to provide you a good solution, there is always the consumer group you can go to. But, let's not go to that yet for now.

Anybody got other advices? The last time I get conned, it din actually end well.

You got any requirements? Like:
1) Preferred PS3 Phat of Slim?
2) Price?
3) Number of Controllers (Ori / 3rd Party)
4) modded or not?
5) Number of years used?
6) etc

Hmm, previously we only give people one perception - modded and unmodded and majority of people will go for Xbox360 for obvious reason.

However, that kind of comparison sort of went to heck now, so I will give you some pointers that I feel is useful:

1) Graphic - People might disagree with this, but if really want to compare, PS3 win by a couple of blocks - Examples are: Final Fantasy XIII, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and NBA Games. - PS3 win on this.

2) Games available - Both PS3 and Xbox360 have almost the same equal number of games available in the market. Whether it is good games or not, that is another question. Draw

3) Exclusive Games available -
Xbox360 got Gears series, Fable series, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, Blue Dragon, Forza Series, Halo Series, Kinect and Lost Odyssey etc
PS3 got Demon Souls, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Initial D, Killzone Series, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Motorstorm Series, Rachet and Clank Series, Resistance Series, Uncharted Series and Yakuza Series.
Verdict: PS3 just edge through on the Exclusive Games, but Microsoft is getting there. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are major coups for Microsoft.

4) Console Reliability - Although that Jasper and new Xbox360 slim had been very reliable, the dreaded RROD still happens on a 30% rate, while PS3 got less than 20% failure rate. Still, PS3 repair is more expensive than Xbox360 repair.

5) Network games - Due to the number of famous games in PS1 and PS2, PSN is always more interesting than Xbox Live, though Xbox Live has more ingenuity / new games. Special mention had to be given to Wii Virtual Console, where a lot of us can relive our childhood / young days.

6) Multiplayer - (mostly applicable if using unmodded console), crisp and good for both, though I saw reviews that Xbox360 Multiplayer is more "common", hence more offerings.

There are of course other things to compare, like cost, future aspect etc etc. You can do all these comparision between you make decision

jAzEc, where you got the PSP-3000 from? RM1140 is kind of expensive....unless got a lot of stuffs inside.

Yeah, I think PSP-200x version rarely got new set around. If there is, it will be very expensive. So you still remember the name of the shop? Also, satisfy with the PSP and the shopkeep's services?

PS1 end of line d. G Electronics in Prangin is selling a PSOne Slim though. Price wise, you might want to call them up .

Alright, I got a friend actually interested in getting a PSP. I will check that shop out with him soon .
