First Warhammer experience was the Total War Games on PC

B40 play with cheap army men je, super cheap with many units in one pack.

Nowadays lots of Warhammer shops specializing in providing free tables to play on. Solaris has the official Warhammer shop with the widest range.

Too expensive for me.

Christmas 2024 box for Tau is fantastic value. Two boxes is enough for a pew pew army. Not much painting to be done because all huge models with large points costs.

Also, Tau is mono color army so very easy to paint.

Have Battle Sisters but the army is quite expensive since miracle dice ability requires sacrificing units to gain them.

Firstborns are obsolete. Already moved to legends. I used to have a firstborn ultramarines army in pewter and lead.

Now all primaris models.

How difficult is it to paint the figurines?

Depending on which fraction. Easiest are mono colored armies like Tau, Necrons or Ultramarines. Hardest would be colorful stuff like Chaos Daemons and Orks.

When you want to play? 2000 points Nexus game. Your shooty army vs my melee army should be interesting.

You need to check your base size if your models are too old. They have changed the base sizes when they switched over to 9e. Now it’s 10e. Sandakan Hobby Shop on Shopee sells original GW bases in bulk.

That’s a lot of firepower on your Tau suits

I stopped somewhere at 8e, and started doing resin recasting. No money to buy so just recast

current meta seems to be thousand sons.

though if i were to start today, it would be league of votann. easier to collect being the latest faction on the table.

Space Dwarves aka Leagues of Votann is a fun army but it’s not fully fleshed out yet due to it being a new army.

Thousand sons are okay. A bit too shooty for my liking. I prefer melee focused armies as there is nothing more satisfying than destroying a tank with punches and chainsaws..

For those interested but not in the actual game, JoyToy is making a line of official action figures. JoyToy was known for making the well-made Titanfall mecha merchandise, before making their own IP and then other licensed products.

They are the loyalist World Eaters.

You see their special army ability also know that they are secret worshippers of Khorne..

Gunpla is cheaper.
Even non-Gunpla is good too.
The recently launched 30 Minutes Fantasy isn't a tabletop toy but similar to Warhammer theme.

A bunch of Warhammer specialty shops. You can join me and my friends who play regularly. Just PM me your messenger name and we can add you into the group.

Combat patrols for the fractions is a great starting point and gives you a general feel for the fraction. Very minimal cost investment and it’s a complete army out of the box. If you like it and want to continue, then look for the Christmas boxed set or similar discount boxes for your army.

Each combat patrol is around 500 points while battleforce or boxes sets range from 600-1000 points on average.

There are 3 standard points games that are official

500 points
1000 points
2000 points.


People would build 500 pts first then move on to 1000 and 2000 later on.

High level competitive plays like the Las Vegas open and others uses the 2000 points format.

Space Orks competitive list consist of melee units mostly. The shoota boyz can’t shoot for peanuts.

Tyrannids are basically a swarm army. Be prepared to paint and field 120 models in a 2000 points game. Their special army anbolity overloads on battleshock which is devastating to low morale armies.

Necrons are basically the second most shooty army after Tau Empire. Their army special ability is “reanimation protocol” where each damaged units will regenerate D3 models or health. They are the terminators of the Warhammer world. Slow but virtually indestructible.

Warhammer models and units go on points system.

Each player will agree on the points before hand to build your army.

Let’s say 1000 points.

So both players cannot exceed 1000 points for their units costs combined.

So, for example, Mephiston costs 120 points. So if I field him as my warlord, I have 880 points left to bring in other units.

The more powerful a unit or character or tank or aircraft or hero is, the more points it costs.

So if you bring in all the big stuff, your army will be very few models. Quality over quantity.

A combat patrol box set will provide you with 500 points army to play with to get a feel of the army.

Combat patrol cheapest entry point

Per box is RM620 or cheaper if you can find boxes online.

Everything you need to play 500 points game is inside. Plus free rules and data cards for the units in the box.

Paints, go for the 13 pots set for RM120 or so, comes with a brush, 13 paints, clippers and file. Don’t be like me and invest in different size brushes and multiple pots and stuff. Just keep it simple first.

And there you have it, ready to play your first game of combat patrol.

Just charge and charge. And we are the only space marines chapter that use Eviscerators a lot besides World Eaters. Our jump pack guys pack Eviscerators in death company 😂😂

Fabius Bile stole Sanguinius Essence from Blood Angels and also some primaris geneseeds..

I don’t mind playing against recast models. I know some players don’t like it but I am okay with it.

Another theory is that Grey Knights don’t exist. Nobody has seen them..

Back then during my time WH40k was virtually unheard of here in merehsia.

But keep up your hobby and keep the WH40k community alive.
I may not play but still fun to watch table top games though.

Too bad still difficult to include Titans in tabletop....

Chaos titans and imperial knights are now W40K fractions..

Chaos Space Marines still firstborn models but you might need to buy some new bases as the old ones are too small.
