This is not practice for most of the projects where there is no major geotechnical works or concern like a tall slope, deep excavation etc. Normal projects at the moment normally don't require geotechnical report when they apply for planning permission/approval.

but anyway I suspect this area related to KL river of life project which has been delayed ten years already. very old area, and swift river bank nearby.

tbh for highrises structure, less worry, because the foundations are usually well-designed. critical one should be roads and walkways where there are no foundations.

High rise all pump pile until very deep inside and bottom all dig out and poured huge chunk of concrete in as base and also no water leak down.. no issue one la ..

Those pavement is the issue, especially those near longkang, water pipe, sewer pipe line

Almost all sink hole appear near or on sewer line..
