QUOTE(hksgmy @ Aug 26 2024, 07:44 AM) I’ve never flown Business class with MAS… student days meant cattle class all the way and the cheapest tickets possible. Still, the service back then was always top notch and the Malaysian warmth irreplaceable Those were the days my friend. Every year 3 trips from Melbourne and back good times for 6 years. Won’t fly with them anymore after recent trip

QUOTE(Raddus @ Aug 26 2024, 12:00 AM) Top management still delusional about whats happening at the bottom line. This is what happen when they are overworked and underpaid with low morale. The current mess with dispatch reliability is the ticking timebomb already detonating and the worse part it has been warned repeatedly since last year to bulk up but the board and upper management are just too busy with collecting money and KPIs. Stuff like hoarding spare parts and retaining valuable talents to ensure smooth MRO process were never the managements main focus. Its "You dont like it! Get out!" and let all the scary responsibility be hold upon by the new underpaid, inexperienced folks who just are about to be grilled even more heavily onto the frying pan. At the sole end these new folks will also runaway asap with morale being so low bottom. But i can already anticipate mr.hr scientist would just open up another scam pool to mass hire more newbies and repeat the same mistakes just to score some savings that are most probably already derailed by passenger compensation and aircraft parking charges overseas lol. Worse part of it all it seems the ministry of transport and the msian press are in nyanyuk mode about the current state of air travel in Malaysia even the prospect of entering a career into the airline industry in msia is all scam like now.

Doha-Düsseldorf last year In economy. KL-Doha was operated by MH. Whatever I described earlier occurred. One pax even has his seat adjustment applied and had to sit upright. Doha-Düsseldorf operated by Qatar. Totally diff experience. And new IFE with bigger screen and better resolution. Food is excellent! Some of their flight drew are Malaysian, I think from the way they speak Manglish tone and their ability to speak mandarin 🤭🤭🤭🤭

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Aug 26 2024, 07:57 AM) And great satay! Can’t deny that! The satay is not over done with marinate, you can still taste the tinge of the herbs like galangal, turmeric and what nots. Grilled not too dark, with some black spots of burnt (for the smoky aroma). And the kuah kacang is to die for! Hahaha This post has been edited by fongsk26: Aug 26 2024, 08:05 AM

Well normally i didnt pay for it because it is a business trip. I claimed back from my company.

What a sad state of affair. I’d rather transit at another airport using another airline to my intended destinations nowadays.

Most of the time, I would be on a Qantas flight, but on the rare occasions that a cheap student fare MAS ticket was available, it was a royal treat!!!

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Aug 26 2024, 07:54 AM) wasnt pre-2005 they get so many flak for loses year after year, but that with all the talents in the world stay with MAS? obviously need to strike a balance. That puts them into profit this year. Someone correct me the time line.

MAS have been profitable recently
And the profits are massive, in the region of hundreds of millions, mind you
Their ticket prices haven't increased exponentially
It's not really hard to work out where the profit came from
Or should I say which aspect of the operation contributed 'more'
