Yes, it was Airbus A330-300
Ah, well that's consistent with what I am expecting
Hopefully the coming batches of A330 is allocated to KUL-TPE

This is what I'm worried. Did MAS cheapen out on maintenance that leads to so many failure.
Yep, not surprised here, MAS is profitable now yes
But I am sure slowly and surely people will treat them like Low cost airline like how they are treating themselves right now
The only significant difference between MAS and Airasia its the status of Flag carrier that's all

This is exactly what has been describe to me.
Group MD (ex CEO) was a pilot Captain who should know the hardship the ground crew & air crew are facing but being in management for so long, has lost his people touch & now purely management thinking.
One of the biggest problem is the MAS has too many highly paid chiefs & not enough ordinary workers (I wanted to write too many chiefs & not enough Indians but worry younger /k wont understand this idiom).
Again, not surprised here
The airline is mainly successful because they took many attributes of other low cost airlines
Dump on time performance, maximize profits
Therefore if their maintenance is DIRT POOR, they would not care as long as the headline is "MAS is profitable"
As a flag carrier, you have your flight options not to include sufficient check in luggages
As a flag carrier your on time performance is 72% and still dare to post about it in AR news release without action plan
As a flag carrier your reputation rot from once TOP in Asia or even globally, to now almost on par with Low Cost Airlines
