I was a DIGI prepaid owner since the before smartphone never started. Same number till now..
Only started to change into CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G under Celcom (Even though they merge, they still seperate Celcom and Digi, each of the provide different plans and packages) because I only wanted Unlimited data and 5G line even though I didn't care about the 5G speed is truly 5G or not.
Took their Unlimited pass - 5G for RM39 per month when it was under promotion.

Now they offer Unlimited pass - 5G for RM49 per month tho.. but I'm still under RM39 unless I change my plan again hehe

Make sure you register telegram and set 2FA/password. Someone claimed my number and there was no SMS!!! He set up password so it takes 1 week to delete and reclaim account.

Conclusion: I have used Bitdefender, TrendMicro and Spyware detector (all downloaded from GooglePlay) to scan for malware and spyware, nothing cropped up.

Although the there are several attempts requesting verification/activation code/account opening (ARAMEX, Disney Hotstar, Shoopee and Lazada) and last an attempt to attack my whatapp.

It looks like they may have my personal information (from those many many many data leaks Malaysia is famous for) but they are unable to complete the final mile i.e. 2 factor authentication, password recover, obtain OTP.

Also, all this happened recently, I got a new scam caller offering stock tips: number is +1 6503324931 / +1320 52 9700 . Normally, I pick up and play silent mode just to screw with these scammers.

Somehow or rather, they decided to play reverse Uno and harass me with calls and OTP request.

Anyway reported the number to truecaller but i suspect they are probably using VOIP, some tech that enable to spoof numbers.

recently got a new number from M as my 2ndary line for backup.

I'm using esim btw, but occasionally will receive some call but when I answer they end it immediately (normally is silent without sound)...

Somewhere in the world, on some list or server, some hands ardy have your data lah. And they pass it around to their fellow crooks.

Truecaller is the one siphoning your data and all the numbers on your phone contact list and selling/giving it away.

Could be true but ultimately just look at Malaysia alone how many data breaches by private and gov, you already know.

Maybe telco can implement some filter that only approved people can contact our numbers.

Trust me my backup emails are even receiving bladdy phone bills, bank statements and some other billing statements.
