Suzy working hard.
Bought her mom a small coffee shop.
Maybe later buy her a diner biggrin.gif

You should watch other programmes.
Korea are just genius (for me biggrin.gif ) for their programmes.
Even documentaries.

Even 'Gag Concert' are hott these days.
Better than Malaysia comedy shows...'Raja Lawak' etc.

SNSD on variety?
I only enjoy when Taeyeon in it biggrin.gif

Like 'Let's Go Dream Team' SNSD.

Even made > 200 GIFS on Taeyeon ONLY.

Taeyeon truly an entertainer.
While others are totally competiting, she's there to have fun laugh.gif

She admits she's comfy when the girls are with her.

Best part of the episode.

PS: That's my YouTube account tongue.gif

It's an honor biggrin.gif

Me hooked on KBS World too.

TV2 & 8TV already 'hit' by Hallyu.

I'm not into K-Pop.
More on variety shows...and K-Dramas.
Comedies the best...melodrama...skipped biggrin.gif

Red FM playing K-Pop songs.

PS: 8TV airing 'Let's Go Dream Team' soon tongue.gif

Thanks for the info~~!!

When it comes to local tv stations I'm not so informed, all of it is Mandarin dub I think, prefer to watch Korean audio with subtitles.

Didn't know that Red FM plays K-pop, what is the time segment?

I did watch some Let's Go Dream Team but only the episode with Girl's Generation is worth watching tongue.gif

I got into K-Pop first, then discover drama and variety shows after discovering KBS World.

I'll say Korean Variety shows are quite unique and good to watch. I tend to prefer those with Idols in it tongue.gif . Girl's Generation Let's Go Dream Team is pretty entertaining, from there you know which member is more athletic. biggrin.gif I like to watch Gag Concert too sometimes.

Btw, any of you watch dramas on tonton.com.my??

Surprisingly Korean used a lot of Chinese and Japanese language.

'Yakso' (promise) was taken from Japanese.

'Unni' - Korean

'Onii' - Japanese.

China & Japan occupied Korea long long time biggrin.gif

Recently on '2 Days 1 Night' it's about Korean heritage.
It is something to be proud of.

Can't change the fact that they learn a lot from China, in a way.

The thought of being occupied by China & Japan was a bit painful tongue.gif

Anyone watch 'Dream of the Red Chamber' (Classic novels during Qing Dynasty)

Two(2) Saturdays ago?

They were occupied by Japanese- Yes during the last century but historically they never been occupied by Chinese. They are infact alligned and pay respect to Chinese centuries ago but not occupied haha.

They adopted almost all Chinese culture, religion & belief esp their confuscious culture. Infact although there are more & more christian in SK nowadays, they still maintained lotsa confucious teaching + their Chinese name, counting & 50% more vocab or chinese origin..They only having their turkish-Mongol sounding ending & starting & grammartic words such as yo & nida which is alien to chinese haha

Added on March 5, 2012, 11:38 amBTW, History of Salary Man... Chun Ha Group.. The Chinese character is Tian Xia (Sky Down). does not realted to Korean "Sky down" wor

I googled translate that chinese word and the result = 세계 or "segye" & not Chung Ha..hmnnnn very confusing

Recall 'The Princess Man'?
Early scene where the evil emperor was waiting for a Chinese delegate.
He's trying to make sure that the Chinese delegate did not know about the bad things that he did; killing his PM etc.
Seems like the emperor scared of the Chinese delegate.
What an impact of China's empire.

That's why I assumed China occupy Korea.

Watching too much Korean channel, I wish there's a Japanese channel on ASTRO soon.
Then can notice more words that Korea ciplak laugh.gif
ASTRO has NHK channel but nothing on it doh.gif

Back to K-Drama, I don't 'DH 2' at all.
Not tempting enough.

laugh.gif

'Soo Young, Mianhe [I'm sorry] biggrin.gif'

This is good info, didn't know that Koreans take elements turkish-Mongol sounds in their language. I do know Chinese and Koreans are quite alike, including names, beliefs, Confucius teachings. The old palaces in Seoul all still uses Chinese Characters. I believe the Joseon Dynasty is the most well known and long lasting Confucius dynasty.

Oh, Raikonnen, I realized last 2 episodes of 2day 1night, focuses a lot on the palaces and historical buildings touches mostly on the history of when Japanese first invaded Korea, kinda interested in that part of history. I wonder if there are any drama's that touched on that era??

Btw, u have NHK channel, how is it?? Is it good?? I like some Japanese Entertainment too, but Dynasty package is kinda expensive, and not much time to watch, have good dramas, variety shows??

Some historic K-Dramas have those elements.
But some characters were fictional.
Difficult to tell unless the production team says so.

Hong Kong movies has as lot of those but focus on China's history.
Celestial showed a lot.

Civil wars.

Jackie Chan's 'Little Big Soldier'

'Red Cliff'

Chinese should be proud biggrin.gif

NHK has no transmission at all; black screen.
I hope ASTRO will have someday.
