yep, but it'd be worth your while to invest in it then go for a better camera IMHO! also depends on what you're shooting....i love making food (okay okay, baking! haha) so I've been into food photography which does AWESOME with a 50mm. haha, it's okay with Manual Focus because at least they stay still! ALSO guys! I'm getting a SB600 for RM500 today! Really excited, was going to invest so much more in a SB800 but decided against it - for a rookie like me & my sistah, we do fine with the SB600 I'll be posting pictures of my shots with it as soon as I get it!

QUOTE(edministrator @ Mar 15 2008, 11:22 AM) yes, just that no autofocus, you'll need to manual focus. D40 can only auto focus with AF-S lenses right? It confuses me because AF stands for autofocus......@_@

QUOTE(ebernie @ Mar 13 2008, 02:52 PM) Better in what sense? Cheaper - yes. They are essentially the same camera except for more MP for the d40x, slightly faster continuous shooting (2.5 fps vs 3 fps) and lower minimum ISO (ISO 100 vs ISO 200). oh? so in simple words D40x is better than D40 eh? Added on March 15, 2008, 6:00 pmQUOTE(zaidi @ Mar 14 2008, 12:35 AM) if you want d40x, better get yourself a d60 as it has sensor cleaner,kit-lens is a VR, and some new feature over d40x D60? oh, okayyyy.. kit-lens is a VR?? what is VR?? Added on March 15, 2008, 6:02 pmQUOTE(szyap @ Mar 14 2008, 09:07 AM) and better be ready wif more $$ hahaha.. how much is for D60?? This post has been edited by tgbudi: Mar 15 2008, 06:02 PM

VR means vibration reduction.. and helps a lot when taking photos.. especially in low light condition i found the D60 is about rm2350 or around the same price with D40x

QUOTE(BlueSilver @ Mar 12 2008, 06:59 PM) So i went out to take some pictures today trying to apply the rule of third onto my pictures. Here's one of it... http://www.flickr.com/photos/reneechung/2328585546/ Did i get the rule of third right? May I give some comment? Some of your pictures need a little cropping to get the subject enough attention. Your flickr's food shots look yummy. Also, many of your shots cropped the main subject...

Sure sure all comments are welcome. I don't really know how to use photoshop to enhance my pictures. Most of my pictures are straight from the camera. Some said that they use photoshop to adjust the brightness and contrast of their pictures. Mmm.... Food eh? Hehehhe i try NOT to look at my food pictures. Makes me hungry too. Hahahhahaha......

Currently no AF tech could 100% match a highly skillfully trained eye + fast fingers reflex of the human body . Better start training .
