yea, like pointed out from previous response, lift goes from top to bottom, you press down, the lift will travel to your floor if no others ppl press it above you, if there are tons of ppl above you waiting, lift will travel to the top most waiting floor and start picking up, imagine you are at 20th floor, and 10 floor above you press it during peak hours .....

source: myself ..... regret of getting mid-lower (1/3 of the residence floor) floor, due to lift waiting time and parking ... should have pay more to get higher floor, lift still ok to me actually, but my main regret is parking, tho the ramp is not too bad to turn, but having to turn 6 floors everyday is terrible (sometime you go out multiple times), my relative bought the lowest floor and they have to turn 8 floors to carpark ... as such, a lot ppl abusing the visitor parking by parking their car at visitor parking, the mgmt office slowpoke to take action, i think after few month they only implement physical proof of register, before that all was digital though app and those security lazy af, not bother to check.

Due to the abusing, now overnight requires additional fee (with 1 or 2 times free for each tenant) and must apply it through app and register at guardhouse to obtain a different card to indicate overnight, and the vehicle must move out before 8am .... little bit troublesome if your friend want to leave late.

Understand, i’m fine with higher floor but just that being offered was the highest floor and heard there is some issues of staying highest floor. Would like to ask is ur condo top floor any complain?

oh there is no setting for lift like other condo.. haha would like to ask your opinion is it fine to stay highest floor? is your condo highest floor any issue?

hmm, not sure it is special setting, but it just how modern lift works, even my old flat's lift also behave like this.

Generally, u press down, system will assign a lift to you, if the lift at top, it will come to your floor from top, if anyone press down during the lift travel, it will pick up, if the lift is full, you have to wait for next one (either the lift skip your floor, or open the door and give you a chance to slip in and close the door).

If the lift at bottom and someone above you press down, it will go pick the top one first, then only you.

TLDR: lift picks up from top to bottom.

mine here 3 lifts

so 1 will always standby at G floor

next will standby halfway

and the last life bomba lift is always random

thats my experience

of course ur time in the lift will be longest always

example at G floor a few enter

so lift stops at few floors only lastly reach highest floor and u get off

for me still ok for now residents not too crowded yet

for me the concern would be the potential leaking part like what others mentioned hmm are u staying highest floor? mind sharing your experience? or mayb your condo highest floor owner experience?

a few neighbour have some spots which are leaking

and dev repaired it at the roof by painting waterproofing it

tats a risk u have to weight, consider, accept or reject it

so far im staying highest unit i dont have leaky issues yet

just i feel highest means its hottest

so electric can expect extra rm20 to 30 each month compared to lower floors which are darker and cooler

plus point is lots of Sunlight, airy and breezy at top floor

u gotta try to appreciate it

wow it’s seems like just luck haha does the waterproofing solve it? not sure is it temporary haha btw may i know how many years the new condo start leaking?

If the ceiling leaking due to Water Tank u can ask Condo management to repair it. the cost u not need pay u worry for what.

if u taking floor middle , if the unit above u leaking, the unit above also need to repair to you, this is Condo Rules, every owner must be follow.

the only worry is the house quality, normally good developer would not have leaking issue

Nowaday the New Lift using Smart System Setting, it was mean when u at floor 20, u press the button going down, the 4 lift or 3 lift which is near u floor and going down will

detected and stop at u floor.

Unless they buying lousy brand lift then i dont know la.

haha i heard it might take times for management to repair it? I guess if there is additional damage from leaking is own cost.
yeah u are right its all based on the house quality haha other than that should be just luck

and i also heard stories even ur middle floor, above u can drag and no repairs

also die

so which level also die if condo workmanship not good

just that higher floor slightly increased for that risk

yea, your statement is true, the lift going down will also detect the floors above you for pressing down and pick up them as well, if the lift is full, have to wait the next one. During peak hour, all lift might all going down at once resulting in longer queue. Furthermore, a lot condo also cheap out and minimize the number of lift at just enough level .....

the true smart system is those lift who able to allocate lift to you, not sure what that call, generally you dont choose your floor inside but to scan your card on a control panel and it will tell you which lift to go. I think only office tower use this lift to avoid congestion.

Buy house not buy Vegetable, need to choose Good Developer, if u hear developer lousy u still go to buy then dont blame anyone, blame youself ...

base on Condo Rule the above unit cant drag too long, by right need to repair within 3 month after management give out notice, otherwise will need go to court case.

Yes, definitely choose the good developer or branded developer, who ask u buy Lousy Brand, same like u buy phone only will buy Apple, Samsung, Hua Wei, who ask u buy Mr DIY

for phone brand sure die 1...

Just buy condo with brand developer the lift confirm have smart system one, not need to worry, if buy with never hear developer they might using lift MADE IN CHINA, then send

you to Holland...

thats why each property will have its set of buyers

u cannot expect everyone buy expensive dev

and also expensive and branded dev also got leaking and many more issues, even reported by newspapars
