I saw a a ibanez RG series selling for Rm590 in a complex, i'm not sure what's the exact model name, but from site i guess it's Ibanez RG1820X, from the price i know it's China made & the package is with soft bag, strings & picks, my question is, does it worth for a beginner like me?what's the different from Indon made & china made in sense of quality/sound?

sound = ??
Quality= ??
Worth = ??

I'm not sure if that could be a genuine Ibanez. Usually the 4 digit models are the prestige models and usually goes for Rm3k and up. And i'm also not sure if Ibanez actually has any models that are made in China. AFAIk, only Japan, Korea and Indonesia.

You could be looking at some of the China pirated ibanez models, or Chibanez as some of the ppl call it biggrin.gif

if you say it's a whole package with bags and everything, then it should be the jump start pack from ibanez

the RG1570X is a prestige with piezo built in it...so it won't go lower than rm3K for a new one

Sorry for the misinformation, Chibanez I just a nickname guitarists give to China made Ibanez fakes. You can see some of them here ibanezrules

Usually the fakes have impossible body colour/hardware colour/inlay combination which is not official from Ibanez. I'm not sure what guitar is that you are looking at, but it better to be cautious esp since the price is quite ridiculous. There is a saying, "if something is too good to be true, it probably is biggrin.gif"

But anyways, there are some quality difference between same brand instruments that are made in different countries ie. Japan, Korea, Indo or China. Usually due to manufacturing costs the lower end models will be manufactured from the cheaper countries while the high end ones will be from Japan or the US. So due to the fact that countries like Korea and China make lower end guitar, ppl tend to associate that most instruments from there are inferior. Lower end guitars usually trade off quality (lower hardware, wood, inlays) for cost but they can be sufficient depending on your budget and use. For many hobbyist like myself, getting a full blown Japan model would really be ideal, but usually the cost would be way beyond our budget. Work out your budget and then choose the guitar model that would be suitable for you, and you can always ask a friend who has been playing for a while to give you some inputs too. And of course, you have this thread here for advise too.
