Bought this 3m cable by baseus
https://my.shp.ee/pDVdTfq
At the description mentioned it does support fast charging for all ip15 variants including pro and pro max, then message the seller, he said yea can use for ip16 too including pro and pro max

Have you tried this with the old iPhone/iPad 5w, 10 or 15w chargers? It should charge. But slow.

I see most rated at 480Mbps.

For iPhone 16 Pro, any USB3 10Gbps for max speeds. I only have and used the one that came with my Orico ext m.2 case but it's very short. Normal USB3 5Gbps cables should be quite common now.

Also have an Orico USB4 40Gbps (supposedly) cable. It says Thunderbolt when connecting 2 mba m1 together. I presume that's tbt3 but dunno what link speed.

Looks like from Apple's website.

My cables are all Baseus, UGreen, Essager, Orico or any CN brands. As long as the sellers honestly say that the cables support USB-PD, you can use them to fast charge the ip15/16.

Note that many of the cheaper ones are USB2. I try to buy USB3 so can use for faster data transfer also.

The most basic charge only non-data cables, like those that come with USB fans or some power banks, won't charge the USBC iPhones when used with PD chargers. It will still charge the iPhones when used with basic 5V only chargers. I think the max is 3A or 15W.

Baseus no problem. I've got quite a few of their cables. Only disadvantage of this one is that it's USB2 but no matter if you're just getting it for charging.

Just now need to recharge my ip16 pro max using a friend of mine android charger plus usb type c cable, the phone wont charge at all

Then charge using 20w adapter apple + original cable, it charge the phone perfectly

Now i need to know what kind of usb c cable plus what type of adapter do i need? Planned to buy a long cable then a standard one
*
It's probably because your friend's cable is not using USB Power Delivery (PD) but using another type of fast charging specification (eg. QuickCharge or VOOC)

iPhones only support USB PD-certified charging cables

Not really. iPhones should charge even with the most basic USB charge cables & dumbest chargers. I think his friend's charger is playing is safe and refusing to charge because it couldn't determine the cable type. It happens with my Baseus 100W PD when used with a dumb charge only cable.

I tested what I had on my table.

Remax USB-USBC Charge Cable is a dumb cable. Just GND & Voltage wires, no CC.
Jisulife Fan USBC2 Cable is USB2 cable. CC is wired. I couldn't find a more basic C-C charge cable.

✅ Lemax Extension USB -> Remax USB-USBC Charge Cable -> ip16pm
✅ Xiaomi 67W USB -> Remax USB-USBC Charge only Cable -> ip16pm
❌ Baseus 100W 4-port USB -> Remax USB-USBC Charge only Cable -> ip16pm
✅ Lemax Extension USBC -> Jisulife Fan USBC2 Cable (CC) -> ip16pm
✅ Baseus 100W 4-port USBC -> Jisulife Fan USBC2 Cable (CC) -> ip16pm
✅ Apple 20W USBC -> Jisulife Fan USBC2 Cable (CC) -> ip16pm

Lemax Extension is a 4-gang UK extension with 2 USB & 1 USBC (BC1.2 & Apple.)
Xiaomi 67W came with the Poco F5. (PD & QC)
Baseus 100W 4-port is 2 USB + 2 USBC (PD, QC, Samsung & Huawei.)
Apple 20W is Apple (PD 20W)
*in brackets is/are what the tester detected
*all chargers have BC1.2 (USB Basic Charging)

Any recommendation for reliable cable brand? I'm looking to do fast transfer of photos during my trips to either external SDD or mini SSD.

Replaced my screen protector from China with the one that came with Rebel Phone case as previous one had borders that covered the edges quite a bit.

Rebel Phone provided one is edgeless but is a lot smaller sweat.gif , and surprisingly I did almost perfect alignment... but now both sides has a little bit of rainbow effect pulak at the edges haiyaaaa.

I have 2 packs of Spigen SP also haven't used.. are those the same?
