Anyway, I have a gift card from Apple that I received earlier for my iPad Mini 6 trade-in. Can I trade in an old iPhone and also use the gift card for an iPhone 17 purchase?
*
Can, just trade in the iPhone on the spot to get another gift card, then use both. Source here: https://www.apple.com/my/shop/help/payments#giftcards

QUOTE
Using more than one payment card
You can also combine payment methods to pay for your purchase. Choose from the following combinations of credit cards and Apple Store Gift Cards:

Apple Store Gift Card(s) — up to eight
Apple Store Gift Card(s) + one credit/debit card

Awesome! If I plan to pre-order the iPhone online, how can I do it? Otherwise I have to keep checking the stock availability after it is launched. sweat.gif
*
You will need to trade in your iPhone at TRX first, so they will give you an Apple Store Gift Card with the trade in value. Then when checking out during pre-order, enter your CC details and also all the Apple Store Gift Card PINs that you want to use (up to 8). Apple Online Store will deduct the gift card amounts from the original cart price, and charge the remaining total to your card.

It's good to know celcom also works with call screening by selecting US region, might try SG region later cuz my celcom number getting lots of spam calls asking to pay debts, overdue bills etc

I was thinking eh not bad why I didn’t use US region, until I noticed the medium and long date format. Haiya! Does any other region works?
Edit: ok I’m off to Singapore and English (Singapore)
*
My device set to English (UK/SG) and Singapore region, seems to have the option. Just haven't got any spam calls so far lol

does anyone know, if i do a factory reset on my IP16pro and restore from icloud, do I have to go to ATM for each of my banking apps? Or do any further KYC thingy? Can I just re-login?
*
I think might have to go ATM, because technically it's like a new device restoring from backup.

ok, thanks.
Im suffering on battery life, recently the health drop from 100 to 96% and from feeling battery less backup by 20% ++. Usually I can end up at home after work day, and charge when go to sleep. This includes 1hr of video streaming in the gym from 6-7pm. But now, at 5pm I have to recharge in car or I can't even begin video streaming.

argh. Is it IOS18.7 problem ker, something else. There is no obvious app that is misbehaving.

Share your Settings > Battery screenshot - what app is using the most battery?

Maybe check your Settings > General > Background App Refresh page also and turn off any apps that you don't need them to update content without opening the app

new to iPhone. cables that support fast charging (special protocol) for Huawei/Oppo don't work on iPhone. totally cannot charge.
is this common?
*

What kind of special cables does Huawei/Oppo uses? I using third party type-C all able to hit 30W ish when battery is low enough.
*
Huawei/Oppo fast chargers and cables (especially the USB-A to USB-C ones) use their proprietary fast charging protocol (eg. VOOC)

iPhones support fast charging only using the standard USB-IF Power Delivery (PD) protocol which is only available on USB-C chargers and USB-C to USB-C cables that are marked "PD"

I want A to C, not C to C. I have many A port chargers.

Yes, Anker brand does have A to C cables. As mention Anker cable have MFI (Made For iPhone).  cool2.gif

Can't get any more official than the made-by-Apple Beats USB-A to USB-C Woven Cable, but it's RM 99 for 0.5m or 1.5m cable hahah

Only apple selling it? Been searching thru shopee just now but failed 😔
*
yeah, it's an Apple exclusive for now.

But tbh I think the RM 9 Anker one would work just as well lol

I still use one of their old PowerLine cables for wired Carplay in my car since 2017

Ok nice, basically all anker cables are MFI right
Glad to know that, anyway any anker cables will work for iphones right even the cheap anker cables?
*
Just try it haha. Since it's RM 9 only. If it doesn't work then buy the Beats one tongue.gif
