They will charge full price to your card, and partially refund the trade in value after they receive your phone. You have 2 weeks to mail them your old phone.

If you want to pre-deduct the trade in value from the retail price, you’ll need to trade it in store at Apple TRX. Then they will assess the phone (box and accessories not required) on the spot and give you an Apple gift card with the trade in value, which you can use to reduce the retail price of the new phone.

this is what apple informed me when i called their hotline before PO started - if you trade in via post, the trade in will be given back as a separate credit transaction to your card. so you will see one transaction to debit 6000, then another transaction to credit back the trade in value, eg. 2400. however, the installment is still based on the original retail price and will not go down. if you want lower instalments, you have to reduce the initial amount charged to your card (meaning you need to trade in at TRX so that you get an Apple Gift Card that knocks 2400 off the 6000, and your card only gets charged 3600. that is the amount that is split over the EPP period, eg. 150 over 24 months)

Yeah this happened to me as well. It’s because Maxis opens a pop up window to ask for OTP, so the process can’t be automated as part of setup like in other countries. After the setup is finished, keep both phones connected and initiate the eSIM transfer again in Settings > Cellular Data on your new phone

AFAIK, only Disney+ app (US/EU) support 4K/Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. the app we get (Hotstar) don't support that. only goes up to 1080P

No, most podcasts are free. Only certain podcast channels with premium podcasts require a separate subscription.

Not sure about point (1), but for point (2) is definitely no. the apps may get installed if they have the same name, but you'll need to sign in again (actually even iPhone to iPhone transfers over cable doesn't transfer the saved logins and bindings, because the bank apps don't allow it). i recommend you sign out of all existing bank apps first, and be near an ATM so you can activate them easily again

as for scratches, I've been using mine naked also since day 1 - so far so good, haven't got any scratches yet. I do always keep my phone in a pocket by itself (never with anything else like keys) and always put down my phone face-up; so if you don't your mileage will vary

It's probably because your friend's cable is not using USB Power Delivery (PD) but using another type of fast charging specification (eg. QuickCharge or VOOC)

iPhones only support USB PD-certified charging cables

Much, much better. If you can swing the budget a bit more then do it cause it's the best. Best transparency mode and call performance with really good sound in the industry. Others might have better sound or better noise cancellation (Sony, Bose) but worse at those two things

Samsung Internet not available on iOS. You will have to deal with it and switch to Chrome (kinda mid on iOS) or Safari (faster, saves battery, supports extensions)

You will either need to transfer bookmarks manually, or do a convoluted transfer:

1. Sync Samsung Internet data on your Android to Samsung Cloud.
2. Install Samsung Internet Extension for Chrome on your Mac / Windows PC
3. Turn on sync in the extension, it should download all your data from Samsung Cloud to Google Chrome on your Mac / Windows PC
4. If you’re on Mac, go to step 5. If you’re on Windows, skip to step 6.
5. Open Safari on your Mac. Go to File > Import from Browser > Google Chrome. Safari should then sync all that data to iCloud, where it will be also synced to your iPhone.
6. Install iCloud for Windows on your Windows PC.
7. Turn on sync for Google Chrome, it will install two extensions in Chrome on your Windows PC. iCloud for Windows should then sync all that data to iCloud, where it will be also synced to your iPhone.
