yes, nowadays all brands of mobile phones, every year the upgrade is getting more and more minor and less noticeable.. plus iphone is already powerful, if one is not having too many cash and must spend it... not really need to upgrade every year any more, and can get the phone longer to maximise its lifespan.

nowadays preorder or first day collection no longer has very high incentive... becos nowadays the stock availability comparing to the past is a lot more... even cannot get the first batch, the next one wait for at most 1 to 2 more weeks can also get it.. and with discount for few hundreds and more also...

even nowadays scalpers have less market even one is to sell the iphone on the day 1 launch date.

yes unless it is a total overhaul change, else very hard for scalper market nowadays also..

last time when iphone 6 plus first introduced, the waiting time to get the phone was up to 3 months...

iphone will always de-active the personal hotspot to save battery (i think).

so when u turn on personal hotspot, it will not be visible to devices particularly non-apple device to connect (e.g. windows pc/laptop).
meaning if ur windows pc now connect to ur iphone personal hotspot, if there is no activity etc. it will disconnect, and if u want to connect again, u need to toggle the personal hotspot off to on again in order for ur windows pc to reconnect.

but for other apple devices under the same apple id as ur iphone, and they had connect the personal hotspot of ur iphone before, next time when u use those devices, they will connect to personal hotspot automatically, e.g. ur ipad wifi only model.

at least this is my personal experience.

the tempered glass is purely just a form of thing to 'scarify' when you drop the phone. and it only has 1 life.

if broken, just replace it with another new one..

really no pt to get any expensive one... i had spend more than rm200 to buy one expensive branded tempered glass also, it also cannot survive more than 1 time after i dropped my phone for only once. after that i never spend high amount of $$ on it.

it is noticed that even battery changing raised at apple. I am not sure when this changed, previously i checked the battery change for model like iphone 14/15 pro max, it is sgd99 last year only, now it is sgd149!

I just find that nowadays replacing iPhone battery cost is high.

As a contrast maybe changing a new iPhone by buying at discounted price at authorised seller or online and trade in the old iPhone. Maybe more worth it.

yes, really... considered that sometimes we see a lot of only buy the pro max model at rm4xxx or 5xxx at most during the sales.

yes, better stick to apple official battery replacement service.
ideally go to apple trx to replace - even better peace of mind, since price is the same as resellers like machines etc...
