QUOTE(kokifung @ Nov 10 2007, 11:01 PM) er, i wanna ask something.. does dog's treats have salt or ajinomoto? my bro said dun give Goldie anymore to eat wor.. but Goldie likes it.. my sisters claimed that the treats is sweet, not salty.. Most treats are like our human junk food, not a good thing. Best if dont give treats at all, but if you really want to, dont give treats to your pets whenever you feel like, give it during training or when your dog do the right thing. Cut the treats to very small portion will do.

Pure Breeds is actually a combination, mix & match of certain breeds too, after a breeder consistently produce many generations of dog with similar appearance, temperaments, size etc, it is registered as pure breed. So, a pedigree dog doesnt guarantees perfect appearance, color, size etc. That's why there is a standard set for these pedigrees and dog show held to compare how closely they are to the "perfect standard". Your dog still a pure breed GR, no dog is perfect even the Best In Show dog! They are just closest to perfection that's it.

Tomatoes (plant and fruit) contain tomatine, an alkaloid related to solanine. As the fruit ripens, the tomatine is metabolized. Therefore, ripe tomatoes are less likely to be problematic for animals. Clinical signs of poisoning include lethargy, drooling, difficulty breathing, colic, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, widely-dilated pupils, paralysis, cardiac effects, central nervous system signs (e.g., ataxia, muscle weakness, tremors, seizures), resulting from cholinesterase inhibition, coma and death. (This information comes from veterinarians, and the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center.) (All parts of the plant except the tomato itself are poisonous to humans, although some people are sensitive to the ripe fruit also.) Tomatoes also contain atropine, which can cause dilated pupils, tremors, and heart arrhythmias. The highest concentration of atropine is found in the leaves and stems of tomato plants, with less in unripe (green) tomatoes, and even less in ripe (red) tomatoes. http://www.lacetoleather.com/fataltodogs.html

For those dogs with hip problems, I will normally recommend Acana Adult Light, simply because dogs with such problem, shouldnt gain too much weight, and it is good for those already overweight, to reduce weight. Also, it contains Glucosamine and chondroitin, to help to ease the problem.

QUOTE(marc_tkj @ Mar 9 2012, 05:49 PM) In my very limited experience, it's better to just bath them with Bayticol. Frontline/Spot doesn't really work for my pooches. One bath and you'll see them ticks die. Anyways.. these are my monsters, both rescued dogs. Ah Fook [attachmentid=2750682] Ah Hei [attachmentid=2750685] Hmm, I find frontline spot on "combo" works quite well though, quite some time ago I encountered tick issues but the spot on combo works effectively.
