He's still a puppy, maybe u can try exercise him during the day time, don't let him sleep during day time, make him restless then he will sleep at night. Try different types of bone biggrin.gif or a Kong toy, u stuck his favorite treats inside let figure out how to gets it.

Orijen 6fish at first then he has wetty stool then changed it to taste of the wild salmon but he doesnt like it. I tried GO! Salmon and he loves it but currently no stock. Now trying fish4dogs, today first day trying it. GO! Salmon helps a lot in shedding, my dog sheds lesser after taking it.

As shampoo, im not really clear but im using the purple color isle of dog, can get it from any Pet Lover Centre.

Thanks for sharing.. i am currently trying on fish oil for about a week. seems nth much changes.. btw, i was told by several folks. GR should took lamb and not recommended for others.. is that true? bcos of this i was not dare to let him try the rest like chicken or fish..

Unfortunate, i only available at eve or night... so cant make him active in day times :>

What type of fishoil u are giving? Im giving my dog sevenseas sweat.gif lamb is good, some are sensitive to chicken and fish is the best for the coat. Lamb and fish are good for dogs who are sensitive to chicken.

Bring him for at least 30mins walk a day biggrin.gif

You are absolutely right, but i afraid his owner (ME) not that hard work tongue.gif .. he taken Brand call " GRIZZY SALMON Oil " that's Wild Alaskan salmon oil too....

hello everyone,

i dont know whether is the right place to ask or not but i hope i can find some answer or guide here

i have a GR, 6 yrs old and im looking for boarding for him for around 2 to 3 months.

im from mainland penang and i used to send him to the usual place but i notice that the owner doesnt really take good care of him eventhough we pay like 700 a month, exclusive food.

everytime we come back, my poor dog became so thin and look depressed. we were heart broken and are trying our best to look for a genuine boarding. we dont mind to pay a lil extra as long as they take care of my GR.

any penangites able to guide me on this? thanks alot

Any one from Mainland which own GR? mind to have a Gathering?

what kinda fungus is that?
my GR had an infection/fungus thingy that went:
1) the fur will drop off
2) the skin will tear open (no because of dog scratch, but infection/fungus "eating")
3) open wound with bleeding

Took her to the vet, then they gave some sort of spray-on medication, spray directly on the affected area and within few days the wound would start to heal and in the end, thankfully she's back to normal smile.gif
*
Sorry i am not sure which type of fungus is. but mine one seems without any wound. i had try to change all types of dog foods, and the vet introduce me Natural balance with LID Salmon.. right now he is applying with it.. but seems without any improvement so far.

is the fungus still quite serious, like is there serious shedding?
cause you mentioned earlier already 4months on the treatment but no improvement..you should bring to the vet and let them know that the condition is not improving..maybe they have other methods to help wink.gif
*
i had try several vet b4.. they only said take times to recover..yes, still heavy shedding.. once i allow my gr entering my hse.. whole floor full of fur... sad.gif

I'm considering to get a gr, but I read too much about the shedding which really worries me a bit. I don't have allergy problem but if it is as per what others said that the hair will stick on food, mouth, cloth, toilet everywhere, then it could be a problem. Is it really that bad? Body odour bad too?
*
Yes, no matter what kind of dog are sure to have some fur/odour surrounding u..if this is not comfortable, then please don't adopt them. think twice before adopt.
