QUOTE(zadan @ Oct 4 2004, 10:31 AM) from what i understand it is different things.ray tracing not sure what it is but i read about radiosity just now.To cut short it is about a way of materials or planes which can bounce light because light does not stop when it touch a surface so it bounces to other objects around it.in that way it creates a much more softer and realistic shadow and lighting.but to calculate the bounces of lights is really time consuming thus longer rendering haha.. that was a good one. shut down comp. well thanks for the explanation. I think i know what it means.. in maya it works with mental ray rendering. .singleguy:3D animation course The One? last nite tried rendering with radiosity and this morning woke up found out my cousin shut lightwave off because he thought the window hang coz everything is white.DAMN IT!!! Yeah.. grad from one. Looking for jobs now. currently tengah tanam anggur. u got any for me?? cheers This post has been edited by singleguy: Oct 5 2004, 12:26 AM |

QUOTE(wYeman @ Oct 30 2005, 02:51 AM) i noe a bit bout vray caustic, i have some settings here, u can try out : thanksPart A : on the object itself 1. Use Dark "Ambient" and " Diffuse" colour for better result. 2. Set the opacity to 30-40 (transparent) 3. Reflection - "Falloff", fresnel, set the white box in material to VRayMap 4. Refraction - same as step 3 Part B : Light settings 1. Any light (spot light i prefer) 2. set shadow using VrayShadow 3. Transparent shadow on 4. Under Vray:system (Render settings) - light settings, select the Light, and enable generate Caustics This depends alot on ur settings in Global illumination and the Vray:Caustics settings, {set high Multiplier(>100k), and photons(in hundreds)}. Basicly is base on your rendering settings to reach a good visual effect. This post has been edited by singleguy: Nov 6 2005, 10:14 AM |

QUOTE(lauyah @ Nov 16 2005, 01:02 PM) Hmm.. no one actually knows what the color was like, and how it sound like. It was all make out from earlier artist impression. Read bout this in some National Geographic series. i always wondered.. why scientist/archelogist never figure out how their reproduction systems works?.. where are their organs and stuff.. |
