I would view it in two parts; the transfer and the player.
Usually we focus on the player.

First the transfer. I think after a long time, Manchester United are operating like a decent football club in terms of strategising transfers.
We know the players we want and have individual strategies on how to approach them. Zirkzee was one, but Yoro was different. United knew Yoro had one year to go and preferred Madrid. The approach was to go in with a big bid hich Madrid were unlikely to match, and that will get Lille to try and convince the player to come to United. Otherwise, no way it happens.

Yoro is one of the best young talents in Europe. See Madrid collecting all the top young talent, and Madrid thought they were favourites to get Yoro.
Based on their finances after Mbappe, I think there was no way they would match United's bid.

While performance on the pitch remains to be seen, I cannot find any faults with the transfers so far.
So INEOS has been very on the ball. Great to see.

De Ligt now waits for United but we cannot complete the transfer without confirming outgoings.
So now we need to generate funds.

Leny Yoro agent is Jorge Mendes, look like he can convince the player come to Man Utd

Edit : Confirm joining soon, look like Man Utd is low balling Bayern to sell off De Ligt in cheaper price

Not really "free".
Mbappe's signing on fee is reportedly a massive €150m, although spread over 5 years.

De Ligt will be joining cuz Bayern now having 5 CB and they are planning to buy Tah also

Lindelof will be next on the out list since Greenwood is a pure profit, the book are looking good so far

Either Lindelof or AwB out then we will come back for De Ligt, hopefully can press Bayern for lower price again

Sigh, club dunwan kayu hijau pulak

Have to credit transfer team. No murtough easy deal. Won't kena ransom on branthwaite. Everton maybe regret liao for trying ransom. If murtough sure 80m on last day before season starts.

"United are interested in signing a second centre-back, having held talks with Bayern Munich over £42m-rated Matthijs de Ligt and seeing two offers of up to £50m for Jarrad Branthwaite rejected by Everton."

Murtough busy flirting with Rabiot’s mom

Then first 2 games we lost 2-0, 4-0, suddenly 31st Aug 100m sign Branthwaite
