Southgate footballing genius ok.

England has a lot of midfield options. But Southgate has the genius plan of using an offensive fullback in Trent AA into the midfield instead.

TAA did play quite well at midfield but i think the major issue is the formation issue... TAA cant make any effective passing as england also crowded his own midfield... lol
