Guys, I read from the previous iOS 18 betas, indeed RCS needs to be approved by Apple after validation with the Telco. It seems the telcos would get enabled with each public or developer beta. So this scenario is similar to 5G, where we only got it with iOS16.2.

So need to wait for our telco to be validated and enabled through a future firmware update or a carrier update I guess… WhatsApp for main communications for now

Is it possible / any chance able to add location service toggle to control center?

Can share? Seems like shortcut only publish location rather than toggle on/off.

i just find it more troublesome to rotate my photos...

What i don't like on iOS 18:

1) the calculator now add backspace, i already used the old "drag from left to right" to delete for a decade d XD

2) Photo App feels messy now

3) Apple TV turn on will show a pop out in my notification area and whenever i play something on iphone, the airplay will prompt me whether i wan play on Apple TV first =.=

1) hardly use the calculator so not any impact to the changes to me

2) Photo App is more complicated now indeed... but able to search the photos is a big plus... such as they categorise into different categories so finding certain types of photos can be useful... e.g. finding the photos of receipts etc...

3) i dun have apple tv, but i guess it is the same behaviour as homepod mini... whenever i sit close to my homepod mini and try to play youtube videos, it will prompt whether i want to play on homepod mini also...

but only if i sit near to the homepod mini it will prompt it... not sure if it is the same as apple tv...

1) Need re-train my muscle memory again, lolz... Now drag from left to right is History

2) The search exist in iOS 17 also actually. And the Favorite category now under Pinned collections.

3) Ya, sit near and will always prompt. My Apple TV in living room where my kid will watch TV there and normally i just sit around also while using my phone to watch Youtube or Apple Music. Now getting annoying cause keep prompting

1) No impact, I don’t even know got history, seldom use. 😅

2) I hope they don’t do until like Google Photos which is even nightmare. Simplicity is the best, new one too many functions I think mostly people don’t use.

3) Lucky my main TV box now is Nvidia Shield. 😅

Those added features during event show I already know mostly people don’t like. We just need a very simple view.

They should instead added a real folder option and force WhatsApp move their stupid photos and video not at camera roll and recents.

now i customised until it left 'media types', 'utilities' and 'pinned collections' only... the rest i all remove...

besides, i really find that rotating photos now become more troublesome...

Photo App is indeed a complicated app now. I am still exploring but yesterday I was editing some videos, the placement of the buttons has changed but it seems easier to access after editing.

Steps:

Open Shortcuts

Tap +

Set shortcut name.

Tap Add Action.

Find and select Open URL.

Input prefs:root=Privacy&path=LOCATION as URL. (iOS 18 =prefs:root=Privacy&Security&path=LOCATION)

Tap Play icon in bottom right corner -> Location Services opens as expected.

Tap menu icon in top right corner and then Add to Home screen.

Go to home screen and tap created shortcut -> This will open up location services and you just have to tap the button to turn it off.

My WiFi calling is not showing up after ios18 update even after I enabled it in the settings. Anyone experiencing this on 15pm maxis?

On my 15 Plus Maxis, Wifi calling only show up when enable airplane mode +wifi. But problem is cannot receive calls, can only call out. Each time someone call, I will get the missed call SMS.
