FYI, the lakes in the property have overflow pumps, if water too high, it get diverted to nearby bigger lake where all the water from LDP gets drained to. However, due to maintenance not scheduled properly, high risk of pumps failing, so floods can happen like in KL and other surrounding areas in Puchong except for Puteri which is hillside.
So is Sunway Lagoon and all the properties surrounding that area. So far have not heard those places been flooded seriously.

That’s what I’m saying … my sister in law’s place is at Lake Edge, within the Lakeside area, if I’m not mistaken, and I personally love visiting her place because it’s so beautiful and peaceful.

I have friends there and also the new one behind (opp Toyota), so far they have not heard of any floods in their place but it may happen one day as the lake which the water is supposed to be drained into, is being converted into some high-end condos, greed has no bounds.

So in future where is the access water going? I will not be affected as I am on high ground..I can use back roads to KL/Kinrara if Puchong IOI Mall area floods laugh.gif . I would not buy mining land or re-surfaced rubbish dump properties and there are many in Puchong. Outsiders think landed is cheap and plentiful in Puchong...esp Chinese since Puchong is like a chinese area like Kepong/Cheras.

I see. I wasn’t aware that there are plans for further builds …. We’ve not been up to KL since COVID (that’s almost what, 4 years ago), so I’m obviously a tad out of touch. But, you’re right… greed knows no bounds indeed.

Many who stay in Puchong don't know this. There is a petition to sign against this project to continue and halting the drainage of the lake.

Sunway is ok, as there is a huge lagoon... if your property is on the slightly higher ground it would be safe, cause water will eventually flow to the lowest area, which is the lagoon. the Lagoon area is deep and low enough to contain a huge amount of water in the event of a 100 year flood event.

With climate change….. 100 year events may happen a lot more frequently than expected.
