So guys where can we go in the Klang Valley to renew and get a physical driving licence?

UTC Selangor, Shah Alam.

But it is just a physical printed small piece of paper. You need to laminate it afterwards.

If you want the card like license with your pic, you need to show your flight ticket, as physical license is usually needed for overseas car rental registration

It's such a hassle when you want to rent a car overseas that doesn't requires a IDP. Out of so many good things AL has done, this is a stupid one.

On a related note, does anyone here know whether an expired drivers licence can be renewed, without requiring repeat examinations etc?

My Malaysian drivers expired decades ago (I still have the physical licence) since I drive using my Singapore and Australian ones. Just curious, that’s all…

LOL, dulu bayar full price dapat card. Sekarang bayar full price kena keluar duit print sendiri. Rugi la ni macam. Myfren said.

my driving license is expiring. i went to UTC, the lady said nowadays no more physical license and can renew in the app...

is it true? anyway to get physical one?

how many years do u guys renew? rm30 per year while 9 years and 10 years same price at rm270....

Heard only JPJ Wangsa Maju is able to produce the physical driving license at a fee. Can't remember RM20 or RM30. Most now opt for the digital license but some prefer to get the physical license for IDP.

maybe this thurs i will try at JPJ before i renew for 10 years in app (it saves rm10 by renewing 10 years so the saving of rm30 should be enough to cover physical license if needed in future).

digital ma. Why u need the physical card and if JPJ stop you they have system to check. Many years ago police stop me I said I didn't bring my license . The police make a call they also can verify my driving license validity

I straight renew 10 years. I remember it’s cheaper abit

I'm at JPJ Kulim now and front desk counter say no more physical driving license already. :confused:

Update: only received slip instead of plastic card. This WA despite showing them the hotel booking details. Done shoot complaint to sispaa and see how it goes. Also will loop in Ah Loke if there is no resolution from sispaa

3.Untuk makluman stok fizikal slip lesen telah kehabisan stok di JPJ Cawangan Kulim dan Cawangan JPJ seluruh Malaysia mengalami benda yang sama, di sebabkan selepas ini akan ada pengeluaran fizikal lesen memandu baru yang akan di kenakan bayaran dan tentang tarikh masih belum di maklumkan oleh JPJ Ibu pejabat. Untuk keluar negara Puan boleh datang ke JPJ untuk memohon Permohonan Permit Memandu Antarabangsa(IDP- International Driving Permit)





Permohonan Permit Memandu Antarabangsa (IDP- International Driving Permit) boleh dibuat di mana-mana pejabat JPJ Negeri/Cawangan atau di pejabat Persatuan Automobil Malaysia (AAM).





Kelayakan bagi permohonan IDP:



a.Memiliki Lesen Memandu Kompeten (CDL) yang masih berkuatkuasa melebihi 1 tahun

b.Pemilik tidak disenaraihitamkan

c.Tempoh IDP adalah 1 tahun sahaja"MALAYSIA MADANI"





Dokumen yang diperlukan:



a.Pengenalan Diri asal / salinan

b.Pengenalan Diri asal sekiranya urusniaga dibuat oleh wakil

c.Lesen Memandu Kompeten (CDL)

d. keping gambar berwarna berukuran pasport

Get yr physical card at the main JPJ offices, bring along proof of overseas travel such as air tickets, hotel bookings.
It'll be fine
