I think this time around the tactical is spot on. Not putting Gakpo from the start is a blessing too. He is one dimensional player. Wirtz was good because he managed to break up Madrid play quite a lot. And what can we say about Szobo, beast! One key aspect of this game is we are not progressing slow from the back. The ball movement to the top is quite fast. Slow progression does not give us any benefit anymore since other team can see our gameplay already.

I don't think focus should be on our three midfielders. True I couldn't play them together all the time because of injuries and other reasons.
