As per title. I am trying to buy supplements from US/UK Webstore (not iherbs) for personal use for health issues as Lazada and Shopee did not carry them. I might buy 2 to 3 bottles in one go to save shipping fee. The supplements after conversion will be higher than RM500.

Anyone has experience on this ? My biggest concern is custom holding and parcel and not giving back as I save my money to buy these supplements.

Also what is the custom tax for supplements ?

UPDATE 28 June : Parcel received on 25 June. Order made on 5 June. About 14 working days to reach MAL from NZ. No custom tax.

I buy almost monthly from vitabiotics uk with zero issue. All supplements and vitamins, fully declared when shipped here with the list of purchase on the outside.

It is mostly a prostate supplement for my father, and a natural blood glucose reducer for my mother in addition to some cognitive function pills. They work surprisingly well, and any flu I get if I take their immune pills on first day it completely disappears

Never once stopped by any department. Even customs clear very fast.

I don’t know if it’s to go with Malaysia basically copying the UK mhra guideline so whatever is not legal here isn’t legal there too

I hope I have zero issues as well. The supplement for 1 bottle and shipment is almost RM500. Is very hefty and I am hopeful it won't be confisticated. To save on shipping cost I would like to buy 2 at least. The webstore is the natural choice UK.

The supplements from overseas are definitely better, to me at least.The local made is expensive with lower dosage. There is also no bioavailability formula. Tbh, I am very disappointed.

Yes I would like to get high dose melatonin too but I know it banned in Malaysia. I can't believe such useful supplement could be banned here. It isn't just to improve sleeping. The lower dosage is available in disguise.

I hope so too. I am now waiting for clearance I guess. Merchant is using NZ Post. Pos Malaysia told me is an ordinary mail so what I can do is just wait for call/email/letter if it was held or deliver it to my home. Just reached Malaysia yesterday.

How is that site compared to iherb? did you compare it before?

I got one bottle around 450+. Works very well to control my seborrheic dermatitis. It didn't get rid of it completely, but kinda of held it at bay.

Best part is a gut probiotic. Lol

I've been buying from iHerb since COVID started. Never had any issues. The last I heard, they already have an agreement with Malaysian government. They are even on Shopback now.

Back to TS question, if you have the option, better choose Skynet for delivery. Since the early days of iHerb, Skynet is less likely to have problems. I always use Skynet when I buy from iHerb.

I've bought melatonin from iHerb twice. 3mg and 1mg. Is high dosage banned? What qualifies as high dosage? Why do you need high dosage anyway? I believe better don't take too much and too often. When the body adapts and stops responding to melatonin, you will have even more trouble sleeping.

Have not tried iHerb. So far I have been getting my supplements from Shopee and Lazada. They have things I wanted now although higher price.

I am not sure whether the seller could help me send with Skynet next time because this is a special request. They normally wont ship to overseas. The distributor in Asia has ceased their business therefore I have no choice but to look for the next closest available.


Higher dose is available in 10mg at Lazada but you need to search properly. The product photo might be missing an alphabet to avoid getting caught.
US has 60mg. This is the highest available dose. Lower dosage may add in sleeping better but higher dose may be a potent antioxidant. That's what I read.

Mind sharing what probiotic is that?
So far my regiment of nizoral and extensive Cetaphil works but some times there's flare ups that needs steroids to control. Would prefer to keep it at bay w/o steroids.

Arthur Andrew syntol. I use generic nizoral pristine once a week or twice a week. Last time I had to use like 3x/week. After starting syntol, use only like once or max twice a week. I take 4 capsule 2x a day.

Can push 12 capsules but expensive 😭

Maybe I need to eliminate carbs completely.🤔

3mg already knocked me out like horse tranquilizer (that's why my next purchase I ordered 1mg). I can't imagine taking 10mg.

May I know what are the positive effects you gained from melatonin ? You take it on a daily basis or during times you cant sleep ?

I take it to regulate my sleep cycle. Usually when I need to wake up early the next morning, so I need to sleep early. I'm usually a night owl.

I am an night owl too. I could actually sleep from 11 - 12am but I have to wake up at around 1 - 2am to handle something. I guess I needed Milk Thistle, NAC or Glutathione more for my liver because lack of sleep
