All the personal details you provide next few weeks you'll probably receive scam automated calls which claims to know which bank you're using for your salary bank-in, your IC details, your address and many others.

Claiming you have arrears with LHDN, you have received a postage item from overseas from your relatives awaiting tax settlement, you've been selected for some prize award, and many others.

How you think they got so much sensitive information until they know your entire education history and pass employers? icon_idea.gif

I was interviewing for my 3rd company last month. One of the companies asked for 3 months payslip also. End up increment give me 10% only niama ccb

Another company didnt ask for anything, after all interviews done straight away offer me 30%

Both also MNC

1st company sounds like they ask for payslip before giving you a number and their budget is "+10% of candidate's last pay"

Most likely lah. I did ask them about it they told me the figure im asking is over the budget already. Then should've just rejected me lah in the first stage when they asked for my expectation, instead of wasting everyone time going through all the stages of interview doh.gif

I was thinking maybe they just want to verify my current salary

I experienced something similar but not so cb. Asked for my expected, lets say 6k, then they replied "oh our budget for this role is 3.5-5k. We'll have to discuss internally to see if we can give you higher end but are you ok with this range even its lower than your asking?"

Didn't ask for payslip at that stage, all verbal only.

Im tired of employers asking for my 3 months payslip. I know its a norm now.
Sometimes I'm tired to reason and just give.

Do I have the rights to refuse? If its the employment that they wanna verify, they can call the company or check for epf deduction.
I don't understand why they bother to ask our payslips.

Isnt that confidential between me and the company I worked for?

Can someone clarify on how I can deal with this please?

they try to find out your previous salary and low ball you.
even they pay you now, be prepeare for no raise mininum bonus for coming years

better avoid

if that's the case then its fine lah, up to you whether to proceed. Most recruiter or HR, once they know the expected salary of yours is over their budget, they will either let you know first hand or just straight reject your application already, why waste everyone time going through all the process right, its a win win

my case was after asking for my expected salary, the recruiter did say please be open for negotiation and I'm totally fine with that. My expectation was something within 20 - 30% range since I know most companies will low ball their offer anyway. But I didnt expect just a 10% increment and when I asked for more they say over budget knn doh.gif

I am honest about my salary. But the days we're living is so crooked and corrupt. My brother used to work for a company and he found out they sell data of rejected applicants.

So you cannot be sharing stuff simply. If they really wanna know about salary, they can just contact the company landline and inquire. Or check the EPF deduction.
*
Wow, how low can you get? Though I bet it's the HR's personnel that did that.
